Lenny's Modding the new Mini Gin Palace 2

Awww cmon .

That was kinda funny

Steady on. That’s somewhat of an overreaction to a little bit of good natured humour.

Very close to a violation of Rule 1.

Ian

Seems a bit strong, I

thought it was quite witty.
Why do we have to upset Lenny, or anyone really?
Changed my username!

It's banter like this that upsets him. If you want to read about the mods save the silly chit chat for other threads.

I agree.

PS Cathago have discontinued the Compact line from now, if a dealer has not got one on order you can’t get one now. they have been dropped from the website now.
I heard they were going to drop it from the 2025 range about a year ago.

Are they replacing it with something else?
They have split the C-Tourer into two ranges the smaller ones have similar lengths and layouts but all are 2.27m wide compared to 2.12m of the Compactline.
It's all on their website.

Do the MaxxFans close right down? The webpages I've seen give dimensions that make them quite high and whilst I thought about fitting one, I'm concerned about shading on my solar.

They are lower than the main rooflight.

I can still fantasise about having one some day then.

Can you put up a pic of a “parked” maxx fan? I.e stopped and shut off, cos the ones I’ve seen are stuck up too, what are they doing in that position? Blowing air out or sucking air in?

You can use the remote to either in or out and you can still have the fan on when the unit is down as there is still a small air gap…

Only downside is I put suff under there and I'm still trying to find it 3 weeks later..
You need a 'location list' Lenny - we have one so we know where stuff is, much easier that ferreting around for it, just a quick scan of the list and we'll find it ... that is assuming hubby put it back where it should be the last time he used it!

I did it as soon as we got the Carthago due to the numerous storage places compared to our PVC.

This is ours (without our cr@p listed!) - I can adapt it for you if you want Lenny:

When down,in closed position, they can either suck out or blow in

Why is it that I would have put it as suck in or blow out???? Is it the 'Spanish' way of saying it? :giggle:

Where would be the fun or challenge in that.

With all that glass at the front you either use screens or a shammie next morning. Even opening a roof light wont take it all away.

Well, when hubby wants to find something he has very little 'patience' so if I can't tell him where to go (to look for it!) he'll pester me like flipping mad. Makes for a quiet life! :giggle:

The C2 Tourer has a reduced width of 2.17 metres, Carthago are pushing this as a Compactline replacement. All still longer then the current Compactlines though. Not the best decision they have ever made.

I'm not sure about that, it may lead to more sales by creating the impression of improved drivability on quieter narrow roads?

I was looking at the C1 Tourer, same layouts and lengths as the Compact line but 2.27m wide they are certainly confusing the issue.

Just had a shuftie at the C2 tourers ... can be used at 3.5t ... who are they kidding!!!!!

I’m using my c-tourer at 3500kg until I get my C1 over winter. I thought i can live with the 220kg payload for winter weekend trips local in the uk. Need the C1 sorting and playing to 4200kg before spring though!
