Lenny's heading South yet again

A bit of a wasted day today only about a two hour drive to where we were heading.
By the time we had stopped for lunch then decided to get some of the suff we wanted to take home like gin, wine etc., after a visit to Lidl, Aldi & Mercandona the day was gone.

Now at the Aire by troglodyte caves at Argeudas, not actually in the Aire but on the waste ground to the side of it as the Aire was nearly full. Must be about 70 vans in the Aire and on the waste ground. Last time we stopped here 7 years ago only half a dozen vans.

The Lidl shop, found some Orange gin in Aldi later.

Awesome day today not only holiday weather 33/34°, drove round the the Navarra Desert rough gravel roads certainty tested the air suspension.

That's a fascinating place you've found. There are some interesting places in the middle of Spain.

Stopped here 7 years ago but it was on our way home and we're not aware of the desert, well worth a visit.

Well after walking around the village stopped for a beer and they brought a menu out, they know my weak spot, so what could we do.
No menu dia so we only had two courses.
Mi's Sangria was a bit on the big side.

What is it about G&T and warm weather after getting back to the van we sat outside untill about 9pm when it started getting chilly. Came inside looked at the thermometer it was 27 out, 30 in. Anyway 3 large pink Gins & toinic later went for a walk now supping a cup of tea, 'er indoors wouldn't let me have anymore gin. :cry:

It's a bit odd but I've felt cold in the early evening and have put on a fleece. In the the UK I would still be in a T-shirt on in the same temperatures. It's amazing how quickly you acclimatise.

I know what you mean we have put fleeces on, when in the UK would have been in short sleeves in the same temps.

27 felt a bit chilly but we were getting bitten that was the main reason for going inside, plus I needed another G&T. :LOL:

Looking at getting a little trip to northern France this year . Obviously nothing as adventurous as your journeys but it’s a start at least 👍

Go for it boy, no better place to start than France. Get south of the Loire for decent weather, for a first time can't go far wrong with the Dordogne.
 
After dinner drinks, whole bottle of Larios Gin and mixers - €8.50
