Lenny's heading South yet again (1 Viewer)

Set off on another trip today don't where we are going no plans so could be France, Spain or Portugal.

Left home at 9:15 this morning and by 10:40 we were bobing about in a boat on the English channel.
Not only did the ferry leave 20 min early it arrived at Dieppe 35 min early.

As we docked at Dieppe several fishing boats came into the harbour quite close to the ferry and started letting of smoke flares. Lost track of what the French are protesting about they do it so many times.

Now dinner was a sore point waiting for dinner to be served on the ferry, muffled announcement saying dinner would be served in 30 min. Nope it was dinner would finish serving in 30 min we both heard it wrong.

Lenny no dinner, Lenny not happy.

Luck was on our side this evening, take away pizza shop 50m from Aire and further up the road a kebab house where I could get some Pom frites.

Good job I didn't order a lage pizza.

I thought you had lost it for a bit there. It changed a few years ago to a paying aire on that side of the bridge, but not tried it pre April 1st. Not sure you can stop on the either side anymore either. Good stopover and the butcher in town has come up with some good chops for us before

Have a stroll up the river to the other side of the campsite to view a piece of WW2 history. The foot bridge over the river structure is part of the Mulberry harbour from D Day. Enjoy your travels.

You say you were lucky not ordering a larger Pizza, I cant get my head arround that most people don't share that size, they have that for themselves, with sides also! but like us, you have two plates out, so that will do two of you, with frites also.
Nice Croissants & Baggett from the Patisserie in the morning, will set you up for another days drive south.

I did give her her presents on Sunday as too big to take with us.
I asked her what happened to the birthday card I had for you, she said I put it with the others, then the message came through and she said "oh it's my birthday"

Been a busy few days with grandsons birthday party on Sunday and getting the van sorted for the trip & losing 2 hours over the last couple of days.
Clocks may say 9:30 but it's 7:30 to us so not getting up for a while.
