The plan was to return to the van for lunch then go for a long walk but we found the only restaurant in the village.
So after some refreshment we sat outside in the sunshine until eight o'clock.

Interesting starters, ratatouille with a fried egg & for me asparagus with mushrooms and a bit of scrambled egg.

Did you fly for Aeroflot ?

No, it was after I left BA and got a job that paid more than their £5k in 1975 and the new job flew me around the world Business Class and better hotels.

I later went back to flying and we did have 'landing drinks' in the cockpit, but we knew we were nearly out of hours so could not be asked to do another flight.

Nice pictures. We went to Plitvice twenty years ago and it wasn't too bad, very pretty and not busy. But I guess Croatia has a lot more tourism now.

We did the Monasterio de Piedra a few years ago, it must have been on a weekend because it was packed. Interesting place though, you could buy packets of food to feed the fish, trout I seem to remember.
