Lenny's heading South yet again

We arrived back in the UK today, after 81 days in Spain/France.
The traffic is horrendous😐. Parts of the M20 closed, and diversions (without signage) through the middle of Ashford, followed by multiple queues on the M25.
It took 5 hours from the Tunnel to reach Oxford, where we're overnighting at The Red Lion, Old Marston, our usual stop and highly recommended 👍.
At least the weather is warmer than Northern France.🙂
Haven't yet decided on our next European destination in 90 days' time 😆.

What about all these that are saying driving in France is heaven?😁😁
No mention of hold ups🤔🤔
In over 40 years of driving in or through France only been held up a couple of times.
Been driving about in France and Spain for 5 weeks not seen any holdups, try doing that in the UK.

Blowing a gale today but at least the sun came out, went for a bike ride. Put the heating on this evening first time for weeks.

Great photos. How do you keep your motorhome so clean when you are on the road?
You need to go to Specsavers it plastered in mud rear bumper has a thick layer of sand on if from the desert, did vacuum in inside yesterday but it's still filthy.

Friends of ours dragged us there so she could cook a chicken and a baguette I could not believe it just because the elec was free .. it was a baguette she took with her from uk to France talk about coals to Newcastle

Got a bit of a move on today now at Nogent-le-Roi, nice little free with free serivcies and free EHU if you want it.
'er indoors thought it would be a nice town to visit as it has timber framed houses.
As I drove into the Aire I had that feeling of deja vous.

I'm suffering from restaurant withdrawal syndrome.
In the village only two restaurants open one the menu was €44, the other one was Lebonise nearly everthing came with humus or chick peas, yuck.
So back to the van.
Good with the alcohol again but the water did taste like gin. :giggle:
