Thankyou All for the flowers for Amanda I'm sorry if I've missed posts I have been so tired when I get to bed since being at Mo's it's then that I tend to read the threads. Amanda will love them.
We had a great day in the hookers circle yesterday, a big thankyou to Lorraine for showing us how to do the flowers. View attachment 230014 View attachment 230014 View attachment 230016

If was great fun, I think we all enjoyed it! Thanks so much for the wool donations, I'd better get cracking on mire poppies as well as some flowers for Amanda x

You all need to invest in a wool winder! It's very addictive though - I spend hours playing with mine - but so satisfying seeing all the beautifully-formed balls of wool. You pull the end out of the centre and it doesn't tangle :-)

They are about £10 from Ebay or Amazon.

I’ve now done two poppies, but as Kate @Ambilkate isnt here I’ve completely forgotten how to start the button off!!! Thanks @Paul and Kate for donating the wool, we all had a good time crocheting in the searing heat at @old-mo s. Looking at the photos, I should be out looking for a new swimming costume, instead of trying to master a magic circle!

I think I've done another 10. Well I know I've done them but don't know if ive already subtracted some of them. If we're short 6 at the end it's my fault :(

@Dawn B passed on 9 to me at the Doncaster Meet, that she had knitted.

I’m slowly getting some done myself, but have been a bit busy lately. Still trying to master crochet, but will carry on knitting :)

I'm still at Mo's and will start again once I'm home. I need to do eight more as I gave eight away the weekend. I sent my poppies up to you Helen @Puddleduck with someone not sure who now lol I'm sure I'm loosing it. @Carol who did we pass the poppies onto?

Mine should be used for filling in purposes and not in full sight of passers by ....;)

I've got sidetracked. Norfolk Knitters have asked for baby hats in red, yellow and green for the babies in the maternity unit. They're full term but the colours will alert the nurses to those little ones needing more attention. I've made three yellow, two red and one green - two with bobbles. Hard to find a nice shade of green. Will deliver them next Wednesday so time to make a few more.(y)

Morning all, you are a busy creative lot on here. I have been making knitted heart shapes, next week these will hang in the library window above the royal balcony scene made by my crafty knitting friends which includes a corgi

Can anyone recommend an idiot's guide to making a granny square, please. Just as a practice piece in between poppying.
