@davanne Anne Have you any idea how much yarn you've used on your throw so that I can tell Anthea how much to buy? I can't tell with mine because it's all short lengths of tapesry wool.

Pam so far I’ve used 2 100g of each colour and have done 6 rows but I have quite a bit left on the second balls ....I have another 8 rows to do so am thinking that I will probably use 4 100g of each colour for the whole throw. Hope you understand that not sure I do
This is the throw so far but I have 2 more rows of flowers that are done ready to stitch on to it

This just popped up on my Facebook page from a couple of years ago - I had forgotten that I was going to make it out of yarn scraps.

Very simple pattern but very effective!

That’s lovely Janine, I’m currently making myself a poncho in mainly purple but with a bit of pink and if I’m honest I’m getting a bit bored doing the same old stitches so I might take a look at that one.

Purple throw picture attached. Only big enough for a mousy atm, only one square done so far. Going to peruse the wool selection in the Chinese shop this morning for some more colours.

The purple is more "purple" in real life.

I’m not sure how well it comes out but part of the check is purple and all the curtains are purple. Our bedspread is a lighter purple. I certainly prefer it to the old Swift yellowy beige but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea

A bit of advice please. How do I fasten the squares together? Can I just sew them together or is there a better way. Thanks.

@Ambilkate re the wool donated by Jaws for charity .. and all here ..is there any that can be given to people at the bring and buy to give to people at the Crafty Meet who are on this thread who are making flowers for Amanda ... in nice colours she would like? I think also davanne looking for purple.

If Amanda gets lots of different flowers and colours .. apart from a blanket .. is there anything else Kate could sew them up into for her please? Eg little waistcoat, headbands, etc .. They aŕe all absolutely beautiful.

The one for this thread not been arranged yet ... But some people meet othrrs at other meets ... eg at old mos meet, the Jaws Thetford meet, Polly's bring and buy etc ... so interchanging can go on at those ..

Joy when is the crafty meet?

We can always arrange a meet at Old-mo's or somewhere central to everyone it would be great to have Have a crafty meet
Joy is @Debs are you going to bring and buy? Maureen & John @Jaws has plenty more so Thetford meet will be good for the hookers to get some wool of them, what's left over can hopefully be brought up to the soul meet or the 3fffs.
