We use a bit of for driving directions, perhaps TV a couple hours a night (sad I know) got 40 GB a month do you reckon that's enough data ?
And you can use all 100GB when roaming in the EU? My Lebara (which is on Vodaphone) only allows a maximum of 12GB in the EU - whatever your UK deal is.I use Vodafone 100GB £11.93 with £10 discount from normal price. Not sure if this offer still applies but I’ve had it for a couple of years now. It’s called “Red” I think.
For the app search for JOYN and it in there , I think you then put your RWG number in.
I‘ve downloaded the app but not looked yet when using the RWG sim, I will later today.
This is the Apple app

Ah... You have a Cerbo?
This is what you get when searching for joyn in android play app. None of these look like the correct one.

No , unfortunately its restricted to 25GBAnd you can use all 100GB when roaming in the EU? My Lebara (which is on Vodaphone) only allows a maximum of 12GB in the EU - whatever your UK deal is.
The data SIM isn't capped so you can use all of the data whilst abroad, the Global SIM doesn’t cover Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Venezuela, or Yemen.

I have one in my MiFi just changed the APN settings work's fineHas anyone used this?
RWG
https://www.rwgmobile.wales/webshop/pay-monthly/unlimited-mins-sms-200gb-data-£20-month/
Cheaper than Lebara and you get the full 200GB abroad?
Can I put it in my unlocked MiFi and crack on?
Did you use RWG or EE settings & where are you?I have one in my MiFi just changed the APN settings work's fine
You mean you're not a 'danger' tourist?I’ve ordered a “Global 200gb Data Sim” from RWG which works everywhere apparently apart from countries we don’t plan to visit. I’ll report back after our trip to Turkey later this month (not in the van).
... well it is meant for the Welsh and we know what ShiftZZ is like with technology! This app only works on older phones.
They confirmed with me its EE settings that should be used. Set the Modem to auto and it started working after an hour yesterday.Did you use RWG or EE settings & where are you?
I’m struggling with this one so I’m hoping one of you guys can help …..
I ordered the RWG Unlimited texts/minutes plus 200 gb data sim. I honestly don’t recall the question of EE or Vodaphone connection at the point of purchase and it doesn’t actually make any difference to me anyway, and duly put the sim in my iPhone. It connected straightaway, I didn’t have to activate it, took it out of my iPhone and put it in an old huawei mifi unit and I downloaded some programmes off iplayer using the mifi device as a hotspot. Brilliant, very happy with it doing what I wanted it to do ….. which is use it as a hotspot to connect to the internet from my iPad.
Then, I left UK and arrived in Portugal where the sim is still “recognised” by my iPhone and iPad but appears not to be connecting to the internet anymore.
I‘ve contacted their email helpline and after a few exchanges it would appear that maybe the problem is to do with APN settings but I can’t see how or where to change these.
The mifi device I’m using is an old one (R219z) that originally had a Vodaphone sim in it so is it possible that the mifi device is locked to Vodaphone? How do I change the APN settings for the mifi device without upsetting everything else as I want to keep my existing EE sim in my phone?
I haven’t abandoned the RWG helpline, but it’s slow going over email
Thanks in advance for any pointers x
Note what network your phone has logged onto then put the RWG sim in your phone and change to the same network then put it back in the Mifi, worked for me.I’m struggling with this one so I’m hoping one of you guys can help …..

Thanks Minxy - I needed a password which I can’t remember so I’m frozen out for 4 hoursYou'll need to go to the Vodafone interface on your tablet/laptop etc, even if it's been unlocked (which it hopefully has!) you still need to use the original interface. Once you're logged into that you can change the APN settings, have a shuftie at the below:
Vodafone R219 - Establish a connection to your router's web interface | Vodafone UK
If you want to change router settings, you need to establish a connection to the router web interface.deviceguides.vodafone.co.uk
Vodafone R219 - Guide to the router web interface | Vodafone UK
This guide gives you a general introduction to the router web interface. Remember, you need to establish a connection to the router web interface.deviceguides.vodafone.co.uk
Thanks JockandRita - I seem to be making a right hash of this I’m frozen out of my Vodaphone account now and we’re on the road so I’ll have to wait till we get parked up later and tried again.Once you know what the address of your MiFi is, eg, 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 (or similar), you can open a web page, type in the MiFi address and make the connection. Once connected, enter the username and password, and you will then have access to the settings on your dashboard.
Make sure that it is set for roaming and auto connection.
Good luck.
Jock.
Hi John - yes it’s been in the device and fully charged since Sunday so it should’ve settled down by nowHave you left it in and on for long enough? I kept switching it off to adjust settings. Gave up and both times after an hour of the default settings it connected. Been fine since but I daren’t turn it off.
