Is this as good as it seems? EU roaming included.

I’ve got it working in my router (HHawes B535) now but for some reason the speed is slower than it was earlier, it working iPad,iPhone and firestick all at the same time so it’s working ok.
The test will be after 2nd April when it will be used in France.
I blame Lenny ... now he's found out he's got 100gb to play with before 1st April he's hammering it and nicking all the available bandwidth now! :giggle:

With this can you cancel anytime or are you in some sort of contract?

apparently it one month contract ,,but not as clear as other 30 day contracts like smarty ,,giff gaff make it very clear

"Our £20 SIM gives you a combination of unlimited mins, unlimited SMS & 200GB per month. This will renew each month until cancelled. This product includes EU Roaming without restrictions."

However, it seems you cannot use it for a month or two and then stop/pause it and then restart. I believe you can with Smarty. This is what I would want to do. Only need it when travelling. I suppose I would need cancel at the end of a trip and reorder a new sim each time I go away?

Yes you can stop Smarty for upto 6 months but if you were on a offer like my unlimited for £15 you would lose that.
I only use the sim in my router so I will cancel after the trip and reorder for the next trip.

You can change the RWG one to their £2 month deal which gives 100 min & 750mb data.

I might do that as I want to get a Raspberry Pi up and running in the van and I'll need a bit of data for that.

So I could run it at £20/200GB for one month, downgrade it to £2 per month for a month or two and then back up again when I go away again?

That's what I'm planning to do. Like Lenny I need constant internet for my Raspberry Pi and Venus OS.

I have to ask. What do you use the Raspberry Pi and Venus OS for? (I like custard with my pi :sneaky: )
The software (Victron) is free and when installed on a 'Pi can give you the same results as a Cerbo GX. This is a screenshot from my phone.

You can add a £5 balance credit instead of renewing the bundle, this then makes it a paygo until you next purchase a bundle for your trip abroad.

You only have to add £5 once too and still get some free mins/texts/data.

I have just waded through the t&c and you must make an outbound call or text every 90 days to keep the RWG sim active.
They will reopen it if you ask, it happened to me

Looks a great deal, but just wish it included Switzerland in the Roaming terms (last time I checked Popit does)

I have just read their website and it looks very promising and I will give them a go when I travel to mainland Europe next.

For those Funsters out there that just require 'Data' (so a SIM card just for their router) then the following link will show you RWG's 'data only' page where you can purchase a sim for only £18 for 200Gb - that's an equivalent saving of a pint of beer in Malaga per month!

Date only 200Gb at £18pm

Is there any benefit to choosing one over the other data sim, EE, Vodafone or Global (£10) for use in Europe, France, Spain etc ?

From what I have read, other similar 'data sims' have restrictions when roaming within Europe so, for example, although you have bought a 100Gb data sim for use in the UK, you are restricted to only using a small proportion of the data in Europe. Whereas, with the RWG's data sim you can use all of the data as described. A few other smaller companies do the same, but the main high street ones seem to be restrictive.

Lots of debate in other threads on this topic

Think I understand, however when on the order page of RWG it gives 3 options , EE, Vodafone or Global.
Is it preferable to choose 'Global' for France, Spain, over and above the others do you know ?
Thanks.

From what I have read, Global SIM (+£10.00) is for data-use outside of the European Union (e.g. USA).

As for the choice between EE and Vodafone, I am unsure (I am a '3' user currently). Maybe someone else can take up this question!

Got my RWG sim card yesterday. Popped it in the mifi and worked right away. Came up as Excellent connection and download speed of 25mbps. Watched an entire footy match with no buffering. Off abroad in 2 weeks so further tests needed.

It was working well the first couple of days in France then not so good in southern France.
Now in the mountains in Spain just across the boarder, in the Mifi it's giving me a solid 3G signal but I can't browse with it.

My phone is getting an H+ sometimes a 4G, I can browse on the H+. At the moment on H+.

RWG sim is in EE and network it has picked up is Orange 4G. It won't register on any other network.
Phone sim is Plusnet on EE network is Movistar 4G.

I tried a hard reset on the Mifi no different.
As we are travelling at the moment not got time to play around more.
