He must have been in a different part of Spain to usMy mates just got back from Spain came home a week early because the weather was crap.
We arrived at Santander on 8/3 to 19C a spot of rain as we passed Burgos and 19C in Aranjuez, 27C at Granada and today 21C at Motril. No rain since passing Burgos and almost wall to wall sun throughout. Can’t really believe how good it’s beenMy mates just got back from Spain came home a week early because the weather was crap.

so you got 140gb for 20 euros and used 280gb….what did they charge you for the extra 140GB…..€200 ?Just to let you know, in Spain earlier this month Vodafone were doing 140gb for 20 euros. Worked well in our Mifi. We normally have 6 things connected and use it for Spotify, magazine downloading, streaming etc. We have used 280gb in one month!
In Nutbourne and Southbourne for 30+ years, unfortunately house building is spoiling the area and with hundreds more planned will only get worselived in Chidham for a while…idyllic…..
How did you word it Mifi or router? They are not the same, under offcom rules they have to allow you to use a phone sim in a Mifi but no obligation to allow it in a router.I saw this on a another thread early and have sent email asking about use in router and I it need using before travelling to EU because I believe Popit needs it to be used 2 weeks before being used in eu.
Tell me about it…Chidham was sort of protected a bit…but yes…ridiculous amount of building…sold up a year ago….shame.In Nutbourne and Southbourne for 30+ years, unfortunately house building is spoiling the area and with hundreds more planned will only get worse
I asked about router because that’s what use.How did you word it Mifi or router? They are not the same, under offcom rules they have to allow you to use a phone sim in a Mifi but no obligation to allow it in a router.
Others have used Popit sim's just the day before travelling and they have been OK.
I had a Superdrug simm once and they swore it would work in a MiFi but it never did….be careful…they are sales people ….they will say anything…even in writing.I asked about router because that’s what use.
I got a reply as I was typing this and it sounds ok
This is the reply
Hi Nick,
Thanks for your email. Yes it would work in a router. The SIM needs to be activated in the UK before leaving for the EU but once this is done via a single call or SMS it will work fine when roaming. There is no cap or restriction.

Ha Ha yes…many an hour spent in there….and Anchor Bleu…my other half is the daughter of Richard Gale who owned Gales Brewery in Horndean… I expect you’ve heard of them…so frequented a lot of pubs in Sussex….they owned 300 at one time …sold out to Fullers who ruined the business ….do miss the area….but not the new builds or traffic…or sewage outflow !You must have been a regular to The Old House At Home
Might pop into Vodafone tomorrow…seems pretty good €20 for 140GB… does it work in rest of EU ?Just topped up online with Vodafone for another 140gb, 20 euros again.
Yes BIL worked for them delivering beer…Gales Brewery in Horndean… I expect you’ve heard of them
Have cancelled trip to VodafoneNo that's the only downside. It said no roaming on the SIM card envelope. But it did work for two days on our way back through France. Go figure.
Yes a sad time…Other half, father and siblings wanted to keep it out of the hands of Fullers but pressure from others who just wanted the money won out….Yes BIL worked for them delivering beer…
They built a new place at Horndean then houses in the old site.
I use to live a few minutes walk from The Travellers and that is a Gales pub, although cannot say it was a good one
been lovely in Chippiona last few days Lenny, looking good for next week as well.
HaHa….right back to Simms…..what was the questionReading this thread is very annoying. It's supposed to be about Sims and data. Can you two go and get a room!
Le me know where you get to.Don't do planning Ferry booked for the 27th, France/Spain/Portugal depends on where the sun is, last April we gave up in Spain and came back to France for some warmth.
