Is there anyone who doesn't go to Benidorm?

I think Benidorm is a 'Marmite' destination. No-one is ambivalent, it's a love or hate place as shown here. While not for me, the fact that so many of my Funster friends and acquaintances really enjoy it, is great. 😃 It's no different to being on some rallies where some want music and take every opportunity, yet others either avoid it completely or, as with 'the Bash', come in the clubhouse to support the auction but do not stay for the "entertainment". Absolutely nothing wrong with either approach we are all.different. While I love live music, I have often been known to leave many a karaoke session. Clearly I would never do that if operating the 'desk'.

Some of it may or may not be related to the fact I rarely drink alcohol, and even then, it would be a single. I don't object to others drinking unless their behaviour becomes objectionable to others or dangerous.

Vive la différence. 👍😆😆

Been there once, then turned round and went to Xabia / Javea. Much less spoilt by roudy Brits.
This is the main thing that angers me. I have never been to Beni but when I was returning from Sweden a few years ago via Poland & Germany, in Berlin's Alexanderplaz at 2 in the afternoon, there was a group of drunken, half undressed, youngish men making an absolute nuisance of themselves and constantly shouting out that they were British and proud of it as if this resolved them of any responsibility.

Now, I enjoy a drink but.....why can't Brits just go quietly to sleep in the their corner? 🤬 🤬

We ended up nearby on La Media Legua which is situated approximately halfway between Albir & Benidorm . We were supposed to be on El Saler campsite but they never replied to our email or returned our deposit but given the circumstances of the storms in Valencia the week previously it was understandable.
We'd had 8 days at Xeraco and the beaches were covered in debris so we backtracked . Benidorm itself was as you'd expect and we didn't loiter but Albir & La Media Legua campsite were lovely . We'd certainly stay there again but just not bother with the Benidorm bit , I'd not seen tandem mobility scooters previously but they seemed to be the chariot of choice. Don't go unless you enjoy passive smoking.....

This is almost like one of those sentence completion tests that psychologists use:

In order to be a proper motorhomer you need to .....
Benidorm is a place for people .....
I sometimes feel that other people.....
If I could have my life over I would.....

Well we are back here at the moment having been here just before Christmas for a week so I think that answers your initial question.
I have to say, having been to a few rallies & shows with you lot I thought there might have been a few more fans of Benidorm!
Most comments seem to be from people who came once years ago or haven't actually been but absolutely hate it 🤣🤣

Actually just to add we hadn't been before so came with an open mind. We are also here in the winter (not sure what it would be like when all the bars are open!)
There's something for everyone (except less beggars, homeless & junkies than most UK towns & cities seem to have these days ☹️) If you look there are plenty of real Spanish bars & locals, plus all the other Europeans that like warm weather 🌞
I would imagine in the summer it's like Tenerife is all year!
Also FYI I think all of the sites were full a week ago and there are about 6 or 7 with 90 plus pitches on each. A large carpark by us was also full but the police moved them all on before we came back - although they seem to have moved just up the road to another one!

We’re all here Brian - only we keep ourselves to ourselves, drink tea all day, do jigsaw puzzles and are in bed by nine …..

What an excellent attitude - if we were all more tolerant of other people's opinions the world would be a much better place 👍

I don’t drink and I love Beni, not the ghastly little bit in the middle but the whole package with it’s surrounding beautiful areas. It’s funny really how many Spanish people go there though? Just sayin’

Been a couple of times on the tram from Alicante, we liked it, so no problem going again if it's on our route.
