well in simplistic terms, your connection is like a brickies line. however loads of people want to put their peg in the same joint. eventually the hole gets so loose most if not all fall out. then everyone is scrambling to get their peg back in. that is why the connection is flaky and unreliable. a better site connection allows more individual connections, sharing a bigger pipeline of data, so more available to each user

I'm going to have a shower, then when I get back with another brew I'm gonna hit the map and book !!! Tomorrow morning i will be moving , further along the coast I think. In search of Internet and relaxation !!!
So any recommendations ? But remember I would like good internet !! If that's not possible. Then Spain will be on the agenda !!!! Cheers!! Xx

Ok good afternoon,,
All tanks emptied and refilled !!!
Tea bags all sealed and put away!!!
Stocked up fridge!!!
Bathroom and kitchen areas all cleaned!!
Now I'm ready to get map and book out and start planning !!! Now I am honestly thinking of returning to Spain!
I know I havnt seen anything of Portugal but I can always do it again later in the year or next!! I like the people, I like the scenery, I like that the hours for the shops are more like home!!
I'm not sold on the roads, it seems a lot hillier? Or that might just be me!! And I think at least where I'm going to eat and drink it's more expensive, the sites I would say are maybe a bit cheaper but I think a few bob more isn't important when Internet is important to me !!
Now my mate has contacted me and is coming out in 2 weeks for a weeks holiday, staying with me and that will be a laugh,, believe me,,, and he has expressed a preference for Spain !! So I think that is what I'm going to do !! Then he can fly to Malaga and we can have a week on the coast, and that gives me 2 weeks to get there slowly !!
Sounds like a plan for me and I don't mind Spain to be honest, I think the weather was better?

Chaser I do know what you mean ! You got me a bit wrong though mate, I don't need company, U.K. Or other but it's all about where I feel comfortable ! Now the site here is good, but Internet is crap, and that's more important for me! I had a good look round as I was out today and the truth is,,, I don't get it at all !! I thought I did but I'm not feeling very comfortable here with myself! I'm finding it a big change from Spain, I just don't get it here! I buy a coffee and they want the money before I've had it, even the sites including this one, it's all money up front!!! Doesn't seem to be much trust ! Completely different from my view of what Spain is !! I had no expectations
Of Portugal and believe me I will give it a proper chance later on , but now,, today,, Portugal just doesn't make me feel comfortable!!! That's it !!! Oh and for a country that's supposed to be struggling, I have seen in 3 days more porches, Mercedes, ferraries, and new Range Rover sports ( with Portuguese plates) than I have in total in Spain !! But like I said. It seems more expensive here anyway !!
I'm afraid I just don't get it!! Some do! I don't !!!!

I understand you mat, but I'm not typecasting all of Portugal! I see what I see here and it's not for me!!
Im not slagging Portugal. I'm saying it's not for me!! Maybe I'm missing something, but on this occasion I'm out !! There was crap parts of Spain I saw but I just felt more at ease there!!

Don't know where you have been and I'm not trying to tell you to stay, but I have found you have a job to find anyone to pay when you want to go, and cheap, the cars you have seen will be ex pats with their Portuguese motors, I could take you to a small bar up above estoi , you can stay there all day , beer , coffee, a sandwich , and that clear stuff they make in Portugal , and it comes to about 5 euros, amazing.

No problem I wasn't trying to knock what you are doing, we all like different things and one of the reasons we like this area of Portugal is because we can be in Andalucia on public transport in an hour.

Ian, we didn't really 'get' Portugal either. Had some good times there and met some nice people, even caught up with my cousin who lives there, but really prefer Spain...

I had a run in recently with the Portugal loving funsters here
. I found many of the Portuguese I encountered rude, unfriendly, and miserable (mind you I would be even more miserable if I was on €500 a month). Certainly in the north The place is badly decaying after the good times and EU boom. If they want more tourists to come back they are going to have to be nicer

I'm not looking for a row camper, I love London and should never have been talked into moving to Norfolk!! But for 5 years I lived and worked in a place that didn't fit!!! I'm just not prepared to stay somewhere I'm not comfortable !! Some people hate London and love Norfolk!! Same deal. It's horses for courses!! I don't know why I prefer Spain, I just feel better there!! Xxx
