Good evening,, i am nicely chilled in helga,,having a lovely brew !! I had a nice rum and coke from the bar about 6pm,just to see what it was going to be like,,and it nearly blew me head off !!! i had to ask for a bigger glass and more coke! (im a lightweight)....still i did drink it !! I have been told that there is an iceland near me,(maybe its the one pam mentioned) so i am going to skip there with a song in my heart tomorrow,,just to see if they have any life saving teabags !!! (i bet the staff aint all english in this one)..... I really like it here,,i feel quite relaxed,,in fact the only thing i need to make my life perfect is,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, A boyfriend or husband for my daughter,,(with money) A sence of humour for everybody french... A new canopy....... A box or ten of yorkshire teabags.. A lovely sunny couple of months.... A six foot blonde,clutching a winning lottery ticket screaming my name... (whos father is on his last legs,and owns a chain of breweries) An end to world hunger..... And an endless supply of toilet paper in every portugese campsite wc !!! Surely thats not too much !!!!!

Ok, good morning,,
It's about 5 a.m.something I think?
Still struggling to stop waking and getting up early!
So this morning I am going for a long walk, I feel some exercise is necessary, for the last couple of days I havnt done much and feel quite achey and bloated!
I may get the bike off the back and go for it!! I think due to lack of exercise,and eating well, along with all the coffees I have put the half a stone I lost back on!! That for me isn't good,when I have to work again I will be in agony bending and lifting if I'm not my usual lithe, slender,toned, well defined self !!
I thought it was too good to be true!!
Internet was great here yesterday afternoon, UNTILL about 7.30 then it was as usual, intermittent to say the least!! Oh what to do???
I like the site, I like the area, I like being here but I also like a bit of bbc news, a film from YouTube in the evenings,if I don't go out ( which I have tended not too lately)
Or am I putting too much thought into it? Or is technology getting hold of me bit by bit and turning me into a stereotypical mind numbing step ford wife??? Nevertheless, I do like a film or two at night and I can drift off with no thought of what's happening in my,or the real world!! I think it could just be the fact that it's a bit of noise and company !!
I counted the people I spoke to testerday and this is the result ...
One...Portuguese receptionist at site I left, conversation went, I'm off now, obrigado, that was it, no reply , she was busy!!
Two...Frenchman at camperserve behind counter,, can you help me with a canopy and gas service please, I'm about one month, were busy!!
Three,,, receptionist at this site, do you have any vacancies, yes 17 euros for 2 nights, here's your pass, park where you like up that end, the bottom end is fully booked with a camping and caravan Bing club rally!! Enjoy. My reply do you have good internet? Yes !!
Four... One into albuefera please,, 1.20. Thankyou...
Five, two cartons of embassy no I please !!! 96 euros please, obrigado!
Five... Coffee with milk please, two euros ! Thank you,,,
Six one kebab and chips with Coke please,, ok. Sit. !!!! 7 euros, Thankyou!!
Seven,,, rum and Coke please, 5 euros, Thankyou, can I have a bigger glass and more coke, yes no problem, obrigado! Then to bed !!!!

Who you are is growing on me too Ianthebuilder. It sounds like you could do with a bit of english speaking company. It is ok passing the time of day with johnny foreigner but you cant beat a good chat with the real thing. Have a pleasant day.

It's a Portuguese sim card that @JJ and others recommend too, giving 10 x days unlimited internet for 10€. I'll be getting one hopefully, if the deal is still on next winter.

Have you tried Filmon to record stuff from TV or films, YTD video downloader to record youtube stuff. Download at leisure during the day and watch later without interruption, works for me.

You have to go to an NOS phone shop to get one, Google map it, they are in the larger towns. Make sure they give you the Livre SIM card, no paperwork to do, put it in your mifi and the set up should be automatic.
