Good morning ,, can you believe it I just woke up!! Lazy git !! Right this morning I'm going into a town called barbatti ( or something like that) for a look round, a coffee and the bank !

I steam cleaned helgas carpets yesterday with the car jet wash that's here, now there hanging on the line and still a bit damp so a good day today and they will be nice and dry!!

I will be moving on in a day or so and I have to have a little look at the map etc to see where to go first but Seville is high on the list!!

So I'm going to shower and then go out for a bit so I will see you later and post when I'm back, with a full report! Lol. Have a lovely morning ... Xxx

Evening ,, I have decided to hire a little car this week for two or three weeks, the countryside and little towns I have seen here while going to golf etc look lovely, and definitely require closer inspection !!

So I will do what I don't normally do and go out for a meal tonight, just in restaurant on site to chat to a couple of people , to find out where I get the best deal on car hire!! I have heard that it's cheap at the moment !!

And before you all say , why don't you go out alone , well I do, just not often for food at night, people tend to look at you like you have a limb missing or your some sort of ork from middle earth!!! Then of course you get the pity invites, well meant I'm sure but non the less, you know it's people feeling sorry for you sitting at a table all on your own !! Oh poor thing he's on his own,, Eric, Eric ask him to join us!! Lol. Bless em !!

In fact I will say something,, I don't know if a single bloke traveller is looked upon as a threat to any relationship ( like the episode in Benidorm) or just thought of as some sort of nutter!! Or even worse, a lonely old bloke with bugger all to offer!! Lol. Well I havnt met many other single travellers yet but I'm sure we're not all looneys !!!! Lol.

Oh and I have found my blue sheet that blew away last night in the wind!! It was wrapped round a homeless drunk outside the site this morning!! I let him have it and 20 euros for whatever he wanted to buy! But at 9 am he was well into a bottle of San Miguel or some such apperetive!! Hope he's had a good a day as me !!!! Xxx

Oh Ian, know what you mean. People cannot believe that you are on your own because you want to be and you are quite happy to sit there eating or drinking on your own... and believe me if you think it is hard for a man .. try being a woman... you can at least, as a male, go into a pub for a drink .... WE are looked at as though we have been stood up, or we are out on the pull .... Roll on the day when equality comes to being able to just think ..'Mmmm, feel like a drink in pleasant surroundings, good music and happy atmosphere.'

Hope it helps Martin , it's not near the city of Cadiz but a local bus runs in and it's a great site !! Electric, great wifi, sat tv and ordinary t v ( if you want it). Good showers, washing machines only 3 euros, dryer only 2 euros nice people and only up the road from where nelson kicked arse at trafalger mate. Enjoy !!

@movan Its not to bad on your own in Spain as so much going on...better then being stuck at home in the cold not able to venture out cycling etc...I have gone off season 3 times now and wife flys down for holidays. Yes down side the evenings.... bars OK always people to chat to in a bar..restaurants you can feel a bit isolated but your there to eat not socialise

Yes it was very painful...I manged to release the funds to the misses before I went under. To late for me mate..all that stuff on hold, do try and keep up I'm trying to sell the van!. More important fish to fry trying to move to south coast. house on market today, 1st viewing this afternoon..Keep your fingers crossed for me

Hi chaser. Only verbally booked site mate, don't pay till I leave, and if I go earlier it's no drama!! Just pay for days stayed, a bit dearer than the month on a daily basis so alls good!

I will be staying a week or so though now cause I washed flooring carpet again this morning and it's taking a couple of days to dry properly!! Besides today I discovered barbatti town and I liked it so going in by bus to spend a day?

I would like to see the harbour in full flow with the Spanish fishing boats unloading etc. And other things besides !

And it's no good relying on me to stay anywhere too long ! I am liable to change my mind at anytime!! BECAUSE I HAVE THAT LUXURY !! It's lovely not having to plan !! Xxx

I decided to have another look at trafalger ! It's a beautiful day, about 23 I reckon, suns shining. And I'm posting a video of the view from trafalger lighthouse out to sea! Ahh sorry it won't let me load video, never mind. It's still a lovely day!! Lol X

The suspense is killing me! Was it a good night out and a lie in or has Ian hot footed it through the night to France after the mystery offer ..... ?

Good morning !!
I have just stepped out of my morning shower and now having a lovely brew with helga, she has fresh new clean carpets and it's all ok !!

Just had a bit of a moment in the communal showers though! Let me explain !!!

The heads of these showers are fixed to the wall and in position,, you cannot alter the angle of the water ! So in order for me to get a good soaking I have to get right tight up against the wall , which is quite uncomfortable, now also the shower control is one of them that is on a timer and needs pushing in every 10 secs or so !! And that sticks out of the wall about 2 ft down from the head!

Anyway I was getting nicely soaped up ( steady girls) and I was covered from head to knees in the lovely lather of a tee tree shower gell ! As I leant back to put my head under the water I hit the back of my head on the tiled wall , now this caused me to jerk foreward which caused me to smash my kidneys into the shower tap! Which caused me to straighten up quickly which led to another and final head smash on the tiles!! Well I composed myself. Checked for blood, all ok no lasting damage done so I proceeded to rinse, swear, dry, swear, dress, swear and now back having the earlier stated brew !!

I am going to go into reception today to see if they have an acsi card or whatever it is and ask about bus for Cadiz etc! I would like to go back into barbatti today cause it's cool there, a bit local. A bit industrial, it's where the grafters live!!

Ok so I had an interesting phone call from a woman I vaguely know from France,, she has a large property there in the limousine region I think, horses pool etc the whole 9 yds,, anyway I digress !!!! She has been showing , selling property there to the Brits for a year or two, and it seems someone she knows has just had her offer accepted on a rather large run down house! Guess what, she would like an English builder to do the work! So I can't be anymore specific because I don't know what's involved, I havnt seen any pics etc so at this stage it's all hyperthetical but the thought was nice and if anything materialises in the next couple of weeks I will let you all know!!

France was on my list of places to go and this may end up being a good opportunity!! You never know do you??

Try and do as much negotiations from where you are. get photos of specific jobs and price accordingly job by job (easier to control) Not teaching you to suck eggs but as much as you love dashing about the place (stop tittering in the back!) You really dont want to waste your time..sounds like a handy contact though, good luck!
