Mike. I was in leche this morning and contacted them. They were the ones that told me they have the show in Madrid mate. And workshop is closed. Till next Monday ??

Clear skies and it is cold tonight here in Spain, wrap up well in your quilt mate, and don't be tempted to hit the hot button in the early hours (unless you have company).
Oh by the way, what are your favourite flowers?

@ianthebuilder the 80% shutoff is very similar to a ballcock in a toilet cistern or roof water tank. so even if the gas pump was faulty it should still stop at 80%. getting a new valve fitted in the tank is easier said than done. if the cylinder is a few years old consider a new one with the latest valve

changing the regulator is a simple 10 minute diy job.
turn gas off at cylinder
unbolt old regulator
install new part
check all joints are tight
turn gas back on
bleed air off at the hob
job done

Yes, the extra pressure of filling can damage the regulator, I didn't realise until I read it here I had been leaving ours open as well.

Well I woke up this morning at about 5 am. Got to hob and gingerly turned on with an outstretched arm !!! Lovely small flame no dramas !! Then walked 2 steps to heating controls, leant even further back and clicked on heating and hot water !!! Bingo started fine and fired up lovely!! So all good today, so far...

Stayed here at Gus Lopez country estate last night, lots of tea and talking , great bloke Gus. Very interesting man , got a lovely little dog who likes sitting on your lap ! Lol. Really good of him to put up with me for a day and a night!!

So later he is going to take Alfie ( dog) for a walk to aguilas , I will follow in helga and I will have a night or two there, if I can, I got water filled up,, waste tanks empty so I'm ready to rock and roll. !! Will update later when I'm sorted somewhere and will let you know a bit more !!!! Have a nice morning. Ian. Xx

Ian, if you are in Aguilas tonight there is a carnival parade starting at 6:00 pm. Just follow people walking into centre and you will not miss it, I am sure Gus has told you, but it is worth a visit.

Turning gas off at the cylinder is recommended. We were told to be sure to do so before refilling but as we try to remember to travel with the gas off at the cylinder it's not such as issue for us. When the gas is turned on we put a card in front of the instrument panel (saying "GAS OFF??") so we remember. It's on the "flight take off" list to turn it off but easy to forget if you have just pulled in for a brew and don't need to do the full flight list.
 
I'm afraid I havnt got room for another note on the dash. My 30x30 in. DRIVE ON THE RIGHT. Is all I can see!!!

Ian, we have been to Aguilas for the past 3 years, but stay on a site, each time we go to the mercadona supermarket there has been a motorhome, the same one, parked in the road nearby. Lovely area, have a great time.

you should not be able to overfill a LPG tank..It should cut out automatically at 80% :(

Hi Scottie,, I have to laugh! I have just come into the montiel harbour!! 10 euros a night. Free wifi, sevices and a huge police presence! ( for the carnival) even police in boats!! I have 100 Motorhomes outside about 50 yds away and none of them obviously want to pay! Lol. I have no neighbours except the police and it's bloody lovely! Good value for me considering I'm still paying for my wifi £3,00 per day. It's looks beautiful here and I'm going to dress up nicely and make an effort tonight, walk into town and soak up the atmosphere and a few beers! It really is lovely here !!!! Xxx
 
Ha ha ha...you just don't listen!lol You could have bought a local SIM in the market in Beni instead of paying £3 a day and saved yourself bundles
 
In addition to Sangar Caravans, which is about 70k away from you, there is also this place in Mercia who sorted out the van next door to us who had gas/heating problems, when we were staying in that area.

Although I would personally recommend Sangar as they are a Dethleffs dealer and a lot of the internal fixings are the same as Hymers.
