Well I woke up with a renewed vigour today,, at 4,35.am. It was expected though, I slept for about 14 hours yesterday!! All good now, no aches and pains,,

I have this morning found out that there was a few with bad hangovers yesterday so I'm glad I wasn't the only one to suffer!!!

Anyway at about 5,3o this morning I started to do some chores I needed to organise,, I filled up with fresh water,, emptied waste tank ( grey) and then did cassette!! Now on here at raco the cassette emptying bog is on the end of the shower/ toilet block wich is handy for me cause I'm only 50 yds away,, but,, it's an open bog with no walls around it,, if you have to empty yours in the daytime you might as well stand there and shout at the top of your voice ,, LOOK AT MY SHIT!!! LOOK WHATS COMING OUT OF ME !!!!! Because your in full view of all the campers and anyone that's about!! It's not very discreet!! So doing it around 6 with everybody still asleep is good!!!

Then I wanted to do a wash, went to reception which was manned by two nice ladies for a token, but was told I had to wait ten mins,, no prob I said and I had a slow walk round!! Returned after ten, got token. 4 euros and proceeded to load the machine!! All was good !!

Returned after 40 mins to get washing to see that someone had taken it out of machine and put it in my bag,, now that's handy I thought !!! Got back to helga, proceeded to hang it up and saw that 2 of my bestest polo shirts had bloody foot prints on them, or partiall, now obviously someone had dropped them on the floor and stood on them,, now that pissed me off a bit because, whoever took my washing out didn't use the machine, cause it was still empty!! And it must have only just been done cause my washing was still very warm!! Anyway I hand washed the shirts in question and now all good, all stuff on line and nearly dry!!

I got bike off the back of helga, pumped tyres up, gave her a bit of a clean and set off round site to have an early morning nose,, some lovely bits of kit on this site, many permanent pitches I think, flowerbeds, permanent awnings, all cladded inside,, Christ I've had smaller flats and houses!! Anyway there all nice to look at and I believe for about 4,000 euros a year a cheap residence in Spain !!

Just had coffee in a shop across the road from site, lovely coffee but not keen on the cakes I've had, dodgy chocolate and a bit tasteless if I'm honest,,, but filled a gap!!

Today now I have done all my bits, I think I will clean windows on helga, Starr her up for twenty mins and then spend the rest of the day chilling in celebration of doing everything early !!

Glad you feel better, BTW nice campers don't dump in their cassette ;) :D They put it in little placcy bags like their dogs :Eeek: WTF they do with it then I don't know, because there is not a recycling bin for nasty poo bags!!!!

Quite jealous of your ability to be in Spain for the winter as that is what we had planned to do, until a "brain Fart" put paid to it !! Compulsory loss of licence for 6 months !!

Yes Mitch we are friends and that's it,, she has far to much common sence to let it go any further!! Lol. And I didn't know you been bad mate? If I'd have known I would have come back and got you!! Alternatively, if you can travel but not drive, you would be welcome to come to raco mate and use helga for your break, already on site, and I would just fly back and stay with a mate till you want to come home, and then we could swap back !! Pm me if you want a natter about it Mitch !! Xxx. I'm sure you could do with even a couple of weeks away !! You would be welcome !!! Xxx

You are the real deal and your offer is REALLY appreciated.

Well good morning,,

It's gone 11 and I have just surfaced!!!

Had tea and a good old chat last night, got back about 11,30 it was nice !!

I had for some reason, really bad indigestion last night and woke up at about 1,30 am feeling really sick,, had a brew, took a look online at a film , next thing you know it was 3,30 am, went back to sleep till about 6, then had another brew, till about 8 then thought I may be a bit tired, went back to bed and now, hey presto, just got up again !!!

Suns out,,, windows open, door open, lovely morning! Indigestion all gone, so I hope it will be a good day,, chat later, after I'm sorted,, I hope you all slept well and are having a good morning,,

I did some working out last night, money spent, etc for this trip, I will post with results and thoughts later on !! Xxx
 
Well I have just committed to purchasing a ferry back to uk !!
Aren't I clever, I did it all online by myself !!! Lol

So I have booked a ten o'clock departure from Dunkirk ( so I miss the hoards) on the 29th April !!!

The cost was £45 one way but I took for an extra £21 quid a flexi ticket, which allows me up to 36 hrs of travell change either before or after!!

So all booked for then,, now all I have to do is get there!!!

I'm still umming and arring about route but I think I will go from here straight through Spain and into France from the top!! Then I will have a meander thru top of France,, I know I won't see France properly this way, but for my first look I'm sure it will be ok !!

I have decided to stay here at raco for another week, and try and get a tan!!

So I have to pay on Thursday for that, but that will take me up to the 21 st here, wich I think is ok, giving me at least 8 days to get to dunkirk !!

Now I would like to get some fags but are they cheaper in Belgium or wherever than they are in France or Spain ??

And I will also be needing a route etc, which is where you lot come in !!

Only priority for me is. Duel carriageway over those bloody mountains from Spain to France!!

So now I can concentrate on finishing my time in beni, getting some sun, relaxing and thinking about my trip in general !!!!! I will I think have a biggish post to write when I am on the ferry / or near so that may take some thinking about !!!

Anyway I will post later, but I'm eagerly awaiting your posts and thoughts,, Xxxx.

Don't know if they are cheaper than Spain but defo cheaper than France, tobacco alley at Adinkerke. Take junction 1 off the A18 after you've crossed into Belgium
 
As the others have said re Belgium (y) but do think you will miss out not going through Andorra, almost give them away there, and it's a nice run, and not difficult but you dismissed it out of hand when I suggested it before so maybe you have a bit of something against it.

I thought the place was covered in snow chaser,, and I don't fancy that at all !! That's why mate!!! If it's on my way back and is easy enough I might look but I'm unsure!! Where is it again?? Lol

I thought Andorra was really ugly and there was nowhere to park a big motorhome. You are limited to 200 cigarettes pp - for us it really was not worth the detour.

Now that is peculiar, we thought it was great, large aire almost in the centre of town , big enough for anything, but we wanted to empty and fill so went on the ACSI site , very reasonable as I recall, with restaurant and shop and all facilities, walking distance of the main shopping centre, and the customs were no where in site, just drove though.

Ah, the difference is we didn't plan to stay overnight. Managed to fill up with diesel and whilst hubby was doing this I dashed into shop next door to garage for cigarettes, then we hightailed it out of there.
Oh, and we did get stopped by customs.

I'm with you on this, went to get cheap booze and ended up staying 3 days, beautiful scenery, friendly people, didn't like journey down into France though, roads in spain much better. Even managed to blag a discount at non ACSI site.
