No harm in ringing to say you was remanising and put her name into Google and it came up and wondered if it was the same person, no big deal, just wondering how she was.

Hello t,,, where's Cabo de gata mate. ?
Is it an area or a site? X

Cabo de Gata is a national park just to the North East of Almeria, mainly desert and scrub, it's where "A fistfull of Dollars" and all the "spaghetti westerns" were filmed.

Camping Cabo de Gata is a good campsite about a mile from the village of Cabo de Gata also lots of Motorhomes wild camp by the beach in the village.

Can you contact her on Facebook?

Hi Ian,

So glad you have enjoyed your adventure, it has made me giggle. Have you thought about becoming a warden on a nice site, because you would be brilliant at it, and I would definitely want to stay there

It's true rob. And I don't take the piss but it's how it is!! I'm not having a go at anyone else who's deaf. But that's Anne. !!! She's a lovely woman. Just can't hear me!!! X

And believe me it is just as frustrating for the deaf - (and the mute).

Dave, Jackie and Ian out on the town.
That should lead to some good tales... In a few days.
could be right there, and another chapter in ian's novel:imoutahere:

Hi Gus
Hello Ian

I'm pissed off!
I'm sitting at Alicante beach and I been here since 3 o'clock waiting for the wife who's plane has been delayed!!!

Ok Gus you about on Monday ?
Might be, ring Monday

Ok mate !!!!

I didn't want to upset him any further!! ( hope the wife got home ok mate)
Lol:LOL: there was a bit more than that .
Yes plane arrived about 11pm. :( didn't realise it was the Franch atc yet again. Getting to be every week now. They'll have to do something soon.
Managed to regain same place behind a pump house down the beach ( out of the wind as it was blowing a gale) only to find that the engineers from the desalination plant kept turning up during the night .
See you Monday sometime.

Good morning,

Well arrived at torre del mar ( I think that's where I am) yesterday about lunchtime,,

Coords from Dave took me right to the site entrance, sites good, showers clean, good pitches, good size, and a nice bar and Mexican restaurant !!

Not a very flash site, but has all I need! And the cherry on the top is that it's right next to the town!! I have never been to a closer site to the town than this one,,,

Well. Met Dave yesterday afternoon on the prom, just outside a bar ( which was handy) so we partook of a few Walt beers!!

Now I didn't want to upset the equilibrium but Dave has family visiting at the moment, his 2 sons from the uk..

Well we had a couple of beers,, then a couple more, they then led to a couple more, then after a call from Dave, Jackie and the 2 boys turned up,,
Well they were all recovering from the previous nights antics and I think were looking foreward to a nice relaxing day doing nothing (. Till I turned up) lol and I did appreciate that they did come out!!

But we all had a couple more beers and then all went for a Chinese!! Now I will say it was lovely,, much needed and then we all retired early and a good, sensible night was had!!!

On a more personal note, Dave and Jackie are in my opinion lovely genuine, friendly, very knowledgable about all things Spain and travelling!!

Now daves 2 boys, All I can say is if they were mine I would be well proud and pleased!! I won't go into details but will say if I had one son who is looking foreward to a career in the navy I would be pleased. But then to have another who is into physics, mathematics, and who is a budding rocket scientist,, I would be over the moon !! ( lol)

Top family, lovely genuine people, it was a pleasure seeing and meeting them!!

Now today I am going to go for a long bike ride all the way along the front while Dave and family do whatever they have arranged,, but I think we are all meeting up tonight ( hopefully) for a meal and a drink. Now it's sat night tonight. And I have a funny feeling this one tonight. Could be messy !! Lol.

I will get sorted now, ( lots more tea)
And then unload bike,, take a few deep breaths and cycle off into the great unknown,,, chat later. Xxx.

Many thanks Ian I'll add It to my list as I'm planning to,be there in June

Just been on the bike about an hour now, stopped for a coffee..
Cycled past and had a look at the local fishing fleet,, mixture of trawlers and inshore boats, probably much the same as you would find ( hopefully) in Cornwall or hull, Scotland,, wherever our small undervalued risk taking, fisherman are to be found in uk!!

Then past a smallish marina from where the pleasure boats can be seen and much admired !! What is it some one famous said.? " if it floats, flies, or f....s. Rent it". Lol. I bet there not cheap some of these boats?? But then I reckon a working mans trawler can't be far short of a million pounds in uk ??? Shame our fishing industry is decimated !! It's such a vibrant site to see, harbours, markets, men of all shapes and sizes, denominations etc scurrying about, poking fun at each other, unloading there day or nights efforts!! I love to see things like this,, it's like looking at the past!!!

That's the one and probably only think I really liked when living in Norfolk, before the start of this journey,, I lived near Great Yarmouth, and the history of the docks, the hundreds of boats, mackerel being bought in by the tons,, hundreds of old boats with even older men tied up ten abreast to unload their catch, onto the dockside where a load of women would then gut, and prepare the fish, dropping them into barrels for various smoke houses to work their magic!!! I think I was born 150 years too late!!! Lol.

Anyway I'm still continuing my bike ride , i have no destination in mind today but I reckon 3 hrs in one direction, with a few coffees and stops thrown in, should see me with a good cycle back later, brew in helga, shower, shave etc. And get ready for the enslaught that I think it will be tonight!!! Have a lovely day all. See you soon !! Ian. Xx
