I Love My E & P Jacks

No I don't have UK supplier, I bought them a few years back for my RV direct from US. If you Google RV Utility Blocks you get some good pictures and there is a You Tube on them.

Might as well be on the dark side of the moon
I can't jack my van with pictures

Go down the butcher's & ask where they get the 1" nylon cutting blocks from. They do you. It is all we used to use on a lorry mounted crane.

I have 4 pads made from 2 bits of 18mm ply stuck and screwed together if i want more lift than that i also have 2 more made from a length of 1 1/2" square wood cut and cross stacked to make a 3" lift.

Positioning them under the jacks is easy peasy with the wireless remote.

I will add that i don't use them very often, the plate on the E&P jacks is on a swivel ball to stop it getting bent on uneven ground.

Anyone got these? or something better
I bet they are pretty heavy, a few people use a 3" building insulation foam cut to size and surprisingly it lasts quite well, if you add 1/2" ply either side its even better.

Only if set manually though I presume

So much for everyone using auto, reckon I got a bum steer there first time round, I tend to use manual now as well (y)

Hi David

I use manual if putting blocks under but that is quite rare so normally I just hit the "auto" button.

£30 a pad! So 4 is £120, I think I would try the other side of the moon you would get 8 pads delivered for that!

Mick not in until after lunch

Just found my Lpg tank had a small leak (y) not checked it recently

they discovered a serious gearbox oil leak when they did mine (y) they are probably still clearing up the mess :(

How long will it take them to fit?

I'm contemplating having them fitted too :)

They specify two days Dave but I suspect that is erring on the cautious side

I too made my own using scaffold planks with 12.5 mm hardwood screwed to the face on the ground. I have just attached rope handles to make retrieval easier.

I discussed this with Martin @funflair at Chester and whilst the feet on the newer models are 8" plates and need no timber bases to sit on I feel happier chucking them under on soft ground.

I know when I'm 70plus I may need to downsize but I would like to think that I will always have a set of these on any van I have in future.

I made my own blocks using offcuts of scaffolding plank

The weight you offset throwing out the levellers & steadies has been lost with them.
Any way I assume you have to get an additional step when using the jacks as the usual step would be too far from the ground wouldn't
it ?

Have a fresh look at the picture Andy I'm sure you have a fairly serious oil-leak there.......

We've only had to use them once - i assisted Mrs C into the van in a fashion which preserved her modesty

Im curious to know what, if any, spare payload you have left in your coach built van with all the equipment you keep adding. Have you been on a weigh bridge at all?

Yes thank you no problems
