I Love My E & P Jacks

Anyone got a picture of their pump?
I'm thinking if I clear out the right side of the gas locker it might fit in there?

no to photo till tomorrow when someone else probably will have done one already, yes it will fit, but it will need most of the space in there, including the space taken by the pump you already seem to have :)

I've discovered it is 45cm long so I need to rearrange a battery

Is it not possible to fit these yourself, seems an expensive option (useful maybe) for what you get, level, steady van

E&P will only supply their system to accredited dealers.

Martin

Thanks Robert. Have you practiced getting a drill on the end of the pump?

Hi
I had them place mine in the small floor locker on the hymer, near side front, as i've put a partition between the lockers, i carry one of those dewalt right angled cordless drills i have. i'll add a better (straight on) picture later, this one i've pinched from an existing thread.

No space gained by getting rid of ramps then ! :ROFLMAO:
No because I don't want it in the garage nor a hole in the floor there. The spot also sits above the grey waste tank so pipe and cable routing would not be practicle

Ours is boxed in and takes a space 580 by 340.

Martin

Mine aint getting no 580
Cracking the flags here so I'm off to the van for some re modelling :p

Andy

I think E&P have a pump on the stand at Peterborough, I will take my tape measure.

Martin

I'm now thinking perhaps leave the batteries as they are and replace that small shelf with a full deck

Thanks Martin
I believe it should be 450 long 250 high and I think it said 150 wide.

Another benefit is that it's great for greasing the alko rear torsion suspension, although I do put a couple of axle stands in place when i do it.

I meant to add; using the front jacks to lift the front wheels six inch off the floor was very helpful when i changed the gearbox oil, it made access underneath a doddle but also ensured that all the oil ran to the back and bottom of the gearbox, where the drain plug is.

Yes but the pump could still suffer electrical failure
I agree Andy and in the unlikely event that happens I will take a look at the instruction book and lower the ramps manually - I was shown how to do it at handover, but was advised that the likelihood of having to use the manual facility was remote.

The size of my pump is a little under 40cm wide by 20cm heigh by approx 20cm deep, as mine sits; a little more width would be needed for the hoses, but these can obviously be adjusted to leave the pump in a different direction.

sorry, can't really see the tape measure properly

to the right you should just about be able to see where the hoses exit the locker and go under the chassis of the van

better picture of where the hoses go, they didn't need to be that far away from the pump, they would bend sharper, but there is a hole in the side of the alko chassis in that location. the plastic piece where the hoses go through has a 2.5 inch diameter.

here you can see the brain of the system at the top fastened to the underside of the hymer floor, this contains the component that gauges whether it is level or not and should be fastened to a level/horizontal surface.

Not wishing to boast - mine are currently FULLY extended, and I'm in a state of total elevation
