Nice town and very cheap Stellaplatz, I think it was free when we were there, we prefer it to Rothenburg.Nordlingen. 15th Century medieval town
I used Krawotec,Ruwerer Strasse 29,Trier last year when my pump packed up.Excellent service.Good waiting area with free coffee and biscuits.Hi we are currently in Germany heading towards Reil heading south. We have a problem with our electric step which we think is the running gear for dropping and raising. can anyone recommend a motorhome/caravan repair place in the area? I have found one on google in Saarland that seems good but wanted to check on here as well in case anyone can recommend. Thanks
Funny you should say that Lenny, that was our experience in 2014 with the exception the farm where we stayed had it's own bar.Nice town and very cheap Stellaplatz, I think it was free when we were there, we prefer it to Rothenburg.
When you get a bit further south you will be able to do some serious mountain walking. Walking in the Bavaria mountains you can always find a farmhouse in the middle of nowhere selling beer, what more could you need.

Let me know if you’re movingI’m behind you on the A3 half way between nurenberg wutzburg , on a raststation near Hornbach. We left Rothenburg this morning trying to make good progress north, but came to a halt in a long queue of stationary traffic on the A3, Wurzburg-Frankfurt. Fire, ( 8 x Appliances ), Police, Ambulance, and a Heli-Med chopper from ADAC were in attendance. 1 hour and 20 minutes later sees us on the move, passing the carnage of a curtain side cargo van, almost upside down on top of a black car, hence the multiple attendance.
We pulled into the P&R at Aachen by mid afternoon, and are just chilling out. We'll do the town bit on the bus tomorrow.
There are 4x MHs here, including 3 x Brits.
Cheers,
Jock.

Monschau !!!!I need some advice I’m fifty in October whilst we will be in Germany getting ready to leave on the 15th October to get our tunnel back to the uk.
I would like a location whilst we are in the motorhome to celebrate, it’s just myself and my husband but it would be nice to have a quality meal or a stunning location. This would be in the north west of Germany.
The full med cruise with family and friends has been put on hold till next October.
All suggestions would be appreciated.
we are probably going to be staying in Aachen on the 14th October.
as suavecarve said I would really appreciate some advice. Thanks

We are booked into Camping Herzberg (Black Forest) arriving the 26th for 6 nights then a dash home. The weather on the 26th at Freisburg looks horrendous and not very good elsewhere so we will just tough it out. Looking forward to doing short walks and visiting town. Keep Safe Bud.Where are you heading Phil and how long are you in Germany for?
We are heading for Germany after visiting our Belgium dealer next Tuesday, Train back home on 26th Oct.
Came through the tunnel this morning asked if had filled in the forms, wasn’t interested in seeing them, passed straight through, one train an hour tunnel very quiet.
