Germany/Austria August/September information sharing.

Heading to Wintrich this morning, hopefully get in before the 11-1 rush hour. Love the area around Piesport so will park up until Sunday am. Saves fighting the weekenders for spaces
Good idea👍. Last year, we found that parking up at a popular spot on Thursdays and staying over the weekend generally paid off.

Onwards and downwards, managed to "do diaries" with Drexxer , got an early start and syncronized our arrival in Fussen with his neighbour's departure. Going to visit the castles today and out for some posh nosh tonight.

Any recommendations for a couple of nights round lake constance. Got acsi if needed ??
Just parked up outside 😉 the Sosta at lake Como Germany tomorrow 👍

Wow
Can’t believe how busy it’s got, we left 9ish to head down to Fussen and have a walk to the Castles, then headed to Oberammergau which was full then to Garmisch Couldn’t get parked as van is too big, nearly had a ding dong with a German bloke who forced his way through the parked cars towards me even though he could see there wasn’t any room🤬 so headed to Tensee full, even tried the campsite, have ended up at Mittenlwald in a free site no services, which means by the morning my hab batteries will be shot as they are not holding charge, lovely town and want to stop a few nights to get some walking and cycling in, but if we can’t get on the Stellplatz with services tomorrow then we’ll need to move onto somewhere we can, and with the weekend about on us I’ll need to be sharpish in the morning😩

By miracle this am we got last spot on stellaplatz at titassee camping bankenhoff. Woman in reception said they had been fully booked in campsite for weeks, lovely German couple we were chatting to said they had had to spend 2 nights in the Black Forest in wilding places as it is mobbed here. We are parked right on the road side- about 20 mohos had gone past us looking for a spot from 12 until 13.00 .
I want to abandon plan to go to Lake Constance Saturday fear it will be mobbed, anyone there?
weather here lovely lake swimmable but oh so slightly colder than the Spa at Baden Baden. As we left Baden B the stell was teeming with huge huge Morellos and Concordes Cathargo liner pluses and Neismann Bs.A rally for millionaires with HGV licences? Safe travels everyone

Kirsten We were at the Stellplatz at Ueberlingen at this time last year. I can highly recommend it, but it's very popular. We arrived on the Thursday morning and got a pitch. By Saturday, at least 20 vans were parked on the car park of the neighbouring super market. I wouldn't even contemplate trying to get on the Stellplatz tomorrow :( .
There is a huge campsite, Camping Park Gohren am Bodensee, at Kressbronn. It's very well situated right on the shore of the lake and has a Stellplatz attached. I doubt any of the Stellplatz places will be available, but you might get on the campsite proper, as it is so big. May be best to phone and ask.
In your place, I think I'd enjoy Tittisee until Monday, and then give Bodensee a try. (y)

You Scots would be warmer if you wore trousers in stead of those silly plad skirts.BUSBY😀

Now please, if you are trying to offend us Scots, at least getting the spelling write - it’s “Plaid”, as in “you’ve been plaid!” 🤪

Busman
We stayed here two days ago and liked it. It is expensive but was very clean and in a good location.

They have online booking so you can check space and book in advance. If you get an option, try and get a pitch away from the road as it is obviously noisy.
