Look out for another funster there (bernkastel) ! He is currently parked up there. Just received PM from him

We are currently officially lost in Calw. Nowhere near where we intended to go so onto C plan today with decisions being made over a coffee

Now in McDonald's large car park at Trier. On the other side of the bridge is an 11.0 Euro Stellplatz. Im not moving and headinf on to Reil tomorrow.

What a great two days we had visiting the Waterloo Battle Site. Day one in the museum and day two visiting both battle fields, First Boni's then Wellingtons. Loads of monuments and aspects of the battle field to explore, we had a fabulous time and parked up for free at the bottom of the large bus car park. Got absolutly drenched on then second day too. Now at Trier.

I think I saw him/her. Just cycled by the Stelplatz in Kaus and saw the only other Brit Van I’ve seen so far on our travels.

We’ve headed through the mizzle today to camping Altenahr, as usual when abroad something decides to go tits up, pulled up at the Stellplatz at Volgelsang to tootle round the old training camp there, self levellers down, nope! low voltage showing, toilet won’t flush, Alde control panel throwing error messages, fine on hook up but not off, so 4 weeks after I managed to sort my starter issues with a b2b charger it looks like my leisure’s are on the way out, 😩🤬
3 days here for some walking and cycling then heading down either Mosel or Rhine, or maybe further south weather dependant as not been that good up to now, although the forecast has improved so let’s see.

this is our second night in Carcassonne , 25deg , mostly clear sky’s with some periodic cloud cover
we NOT going to bother going over the alps & into Italy but just stay in the south of France
then head into Germany for the last 2 weeks of our holiday collecting as much sun as we can 😄

We are currently south of Kempten. I won't add the campsite to the map as I haven't been overly impressed. The weather has been pants which hasn't helped.

We have decided to not risk crossing into the Italian Dolomites. The figures don't look good and we really want to avoid quarantine.

So the plan is to travel down as far south as the German Alps extend then loop west and back up to either saabrucken or Aachen before skipping back across France.
Any tips for fun stuff to do round the southern bavarian Alps and the trip back up to the North greatly appreciated

We re on somewhat similar paths.
Currently west of lake constance. Probably going as far as garmisch.
Do that in return on alpinestrabbe and black forest ought to keep you busy.

Garmisch is interesting, former Olympic town and if you feel like a bit of juvenile humour you can take selfies by the cable car station - the Wankbahn

Hitlers holiday home?

The road up has to be seen to be believed (p&R) and Its a great view from up there, a little bit of Germany that pokes into Austria.

Edit, have you been to the Zeppelin Museum at Friederichshafen?

Can you buy a Green environmental sticker in Germany crossing from France possible into Freiburg ?
Thought we’d got one but seems not !

MotorhomersRus , take a look here, for TuV stations in the area. Just pop in to one with your V5 and you'll have a sticker within minutes. (y)
I believe you can also go into any vehicle main dealership and get one, although I've never tried this.

Let’s hope Belgium continues with a downward trend to make it easier to get to the tunnel.
France is looking bad. I wonder where all the cases are?

Can anyone recommend a Campsite or Stellplatz in the Worms, Mannhein, Heidelberg area.
Hoping to overnight in that vicinity tomorrow as we head towards Bavaria.
Currently at Burgen just north Cochem on the Mosel and boy is every Campsite and Stellplatz really full around here at the moment. Will be glad to move on !

We got the e tandem out today from Tutlingen and cycled the wrong way down the Danube. Worked it out by flow of river and went in right direction to the sinkhole. 155 days a year the water level means the Danube (or Donau) disappears down this hole. Today was one if the 210 days. It was jus a puddle. Ended up taking the bike a bit off road and cost us 4 spokes so repairs tomorrow.
Moved on to Donaueschingen which is looking good as a freebie but Geisingen was a corker freebie we passed while on our 58km detour
The sinkhole !
The 3rd one is literally walking up the danube where the river is underneath you

First day on our trip to Germany and we have stopped At Oswaldtwistle at the Stanhill pub & kitchen as it’s very near where I’am picking up my new bike. Lovely pub stop with superb food. Don’t know how much it is yet but if you want to GTB feel free. We had the 5 Tapas
