I don't know what travel restrictions other countries have had. It might be interesting to comparei cant understand how the indian variant is not all over europe the indian and bangladeshi comunities are spread around the globe
Germany had 100 cases pre May 14thI don't know what travel restrictions other countries have had. It might be interesting to compare
Yes I can see why they're looking at us like a rattlesnake in a lucky dip but I just wondered if they were quicker implementing travel restrictions and mandatory quarantine. If they were we only have ourselves to blame for restrictions on us.Germany had 100 cases pre May 14th
nobody else in Europe had over 100 at that time (if they were testing for it)
We had 1600 cases at that time

Nor meI think that we should just let that little shit Macron do what he wants to do for whatever reason he wants to do it.
No one really cares. Some will say he is acting in the best interests of France and others will think he is pathetically playing on Brexit.
I personally don’t give a you know what.
You can't vaccinate people against their will.Unfortunately France has not vaccinated as many of its citizens as the UK so if the Indian variant increases over there then they would have a surge in hospital admissions and deaths. And people are complaining about not being able to go on holiday?
On recent history we ve probably been more diligent in identification.Yes I can see why they're looking at us like a rattlesnake in a lucky dip but I just wondered if they were quicker implementing travel restrictions and mandatory quarantine. There isn't a lot wrong with Cumbria. It does rain sometimes to keep the lakes topped up .You live in Cumbria and you need to ask why people want to go abroad
We ve just had 10 days in Devon, it was nice but we had a coat on all the time, struggled to sit out even in the daytime.
It seems a shame that you can't enter France by surface travel, as this would mainly be the second homers and the Motorhomers/campers most of whom would be double jabbed and self sufficient. Last year yes nobody knew what was going on but surely its time forNapoleonMacron to grow up and assess the situation a little more pragmatically.
At the moment, not only do you pay for a test prior to leaving Spain for the UK but you must also pay for a day 2 and day 8 test in advance of your crossing, and quarantine for 10 days. An expensive undertaking. Even when returning direct from Portugal to UK you pay for test pre-flight, plus book and pay for a day 2 test in UK even though there is no requirement to isolate/quarantine when you arrive in UK, not quite sure why the day 2 test is required as you e only had a test just before flying to UK?I should have added that you do need one to come back to the UK though.
This is how the Indian variant shut down Moray in the north of Scotland. An Indian family arrived back from a wedding in India they weren't allowed to fly to Scotland without Hotel quarantine so they flew in London and drove up to MorayTheres an article on the BBC website about travellers being refused boarding for a flight to Dublin as they were trying to use NHS pcr tests. Evidently one of them then flew to Belfast (no test required) then drove to Dublin. I don't know what the requirements are for tests travelling from Ireland to the EU but are we headed for another Irish sea border issue?
You've got to feel sorry for the locals when their rules would have prevented it happening. This is how the Indian variant shut down Moray in the north of Scotland. I would suggest that the Indian Variant is all over Europe. The UK leads the world in identifying Variants as we have the best genomic sequencing facilities available.i cant understand how the indian variant is not all over europe the indian and bangladeshi comunities are spread around the globe
You old cynic youAnd of course in all of this, france is bound to go on our green list now that they have effectively banned us from entering... or am i being cynical??
I wonder if there arent enough takers? Been looking at Plymouth santander and availability seems pretty good.busby , just told Portsmouth - Bilbao on 16th June cancelled until end of June - managed to change to Plymouth - Santander same day.
Anyone else need to change?
And I am, I want my life backSo the British government decided not to shut the door on planes landing from India and we all have to suffer for their blatant incompetence. They should all be prosecuted for putting the lives of many British citizens at risk. To say I'm annoyed is an understatement
Up until this last fiasco I’ve been in full support of how the Gov have handled this unprecedented crisis. However on this one I totally agree. It appears they learnt very little from what happened when they were slow in closing the borders last year.
Having said that I wouldn’t want BJ’s job for all the tea in China
It's in Melbourne Australia now..They are in lockdown.BUSBY.I would suggest that the Indian Variant is all over Europe. The UK leads the world in identifying Variants as we have the best genomic sequencing facilities available.
I suppose the 150 odd thousand would like their lives back as wellAnd I am, I want my life back
And just shows you how easy it is to reappear . I have one very unhappy daughter there but getting vaccinated on Sat at 46 years oldIt's in Melbourne Australia now..They are in lockdown.BUSBY.
They suspect it has broken out because of people not adhering to quarantine measures...BUSBY.And just shows you how easy it is to reappear . I have one very unhappy daughter there but getting vaccinated on Sat at 46 years old
Voice on the ground ie daughter says someone returned from India to Adelaide in hotel qu’Argentine Day 13 negative but was infected from air particles from room next door . So shows you how easy it is to catch the day after you tested negative . Returned to Melbourne after day 14 .They suspect it has broken out because of people not adhering to quarantine measures...BUSBY.
If that's true, no offence intended, they should be named, shamed, and prosecuted. This is how the Indian variant shut down Moray in the north of Scotland. I was going to say Yorkshire but thought there was less chance of offending people from China, there I've said it againYou used the ‘C’ word.
