My fish guy remembered me!

Loving that airstream Tam. 👍
Helen please start your own travel thread. It’s so nice to have more than one thread going in different directions and ideas like you did before. 👍
Aye I love it too. But too big really for Europe. I bet the inside is nice though.

For all of us Airstream Nerds, here is a closer look at The 1987 Airstream 365 motorhome. Its not too bad for its age inside either, I wonder whats its worth?, I reckon £75,000 should secure one.
Scroll through if you get bored watching, but it was the mutts nuts at the time, auto start Gennie on dash, plus loads of other bits.
Enjoy

Paul can start a thread if he likes but I'm not doing one this year as it's all the same stuff as last year and we are just doing similar but shorter route as Tam and Garry. Think he got over excited with beer and fish and forgot it was someone else's thread 🤣 Anyway hopefully see you tomorrow Tam for a run with the dogs as we've not even got to the beach yet.

I've just been having a blether with a local , he's having women problems, not sure I've made it better but we had a beer and a chat , I thought I was a lightweight but he was staggering after 1 beer and then he drove off lol. I wish I could speak more French as he didn't speak as much English so he kept talking a mix of languages. There's 4 other vans here now 2 , 2 brits who've never met each other before and now a German van and one I haven't seen or spoke to . Spoke to the brits , I think one said he was phill Mitchell. Walking up and down in his jelaba lol. Funny conversation really as its his first time in Maroc... he said " I bet you don't have one of these " I said " ha ha ill bet you I do 🤣 I have a few Moroccan items of clothing lol" he says I got a good price ...he wanted 900dh but I got it for 600dh

I didn't have the heart to tell him I paid 300dh for mine lol.

Anyway will have a chat with him again tomorrow as seems a nice bloke and I think he's here a couple of nights too. It's a nice spot this so I'll stay a couple of days I think.

Might get some fish from the fishermen tomorrow.

Lovely sunset tonight , get a cracking one on this beach

Hi Helen
Was that Jackie with you Helen on the camperpark? If so I would change her number plate.:giggle:
Bet the fish was great, save some for Tam, he can sneak some under the table to the dogs if he is not too keen of shellfish.:giggle:

Tam someone was watching out for you and knew you needed a break to clear your head don't know if it was all the positive vibes from your thread or else where, I'm sure you'll find more places to relax on your travels, great to see the dogs enjoying themselves.

There was a French guy with a very similar one at Gib 2 years ago, ex f1 mechanic IIRC, said it was a lovely thing but really struggled with hills, 7 litreish? v8 petrol.

That's a good point lol as I had a chevy day van 5.7 litre v8 and it got 8 miles to the gallon . I had quite a few 5.7 and 6.6 litre yank cars too and they were about the same.

Given the size of that airstream and its weight if its petrol it'll be horrendous on fuel

Even the big yank diesels aren't great

My 5 litre V8 Fairmont station wagon averaged 8 around town but on the motorway at 70ish would average 13-14.
I had a 5.3 v12 jag and it did around 12 -14 mpg on a run ... cars are not so bad but big heavy motorhomes are not so good with petrol engines.

Sound bloody marvellous though

You want to try a boat with a big petrol inboard engine

2 MPG

I’m sure CaptainPaul can easily better that
Thankfully most of mine were diesel but still some were 1/4 mile to the gallon!
I sold a Sunseeker 72 Predator to a guy who kept it in a marina in Ibiza
He decided to take the family on a holiday trip from Ibiza to Monaco, to Cosica then on to Sardinia and back to Ibiza they spent about 5 weeks away and his diesel bill was just over €27,000k!! 🤣🤣 (they use about 80 gallons per hour) lol
