Doc on tour, France, Spain, Morroco.

We have quite a few near us in the Cotswolds. One was voted the best Chardonnay in the world I think. Woodchester Wines it is called.

What's wrong with French cheese?

There's more to Italian cooking than pizza and pasta, although depending on who you believe there are between 300 and 1000 recognisable pasta shapes and between 250 to 400 different sauces but Italian cooking also gave us cioppino, porchetta, osso buco, risotto, frico, cacciatora, minestrone soup, Parma ham, parmigiana and of course gelato and tiramisu so not all bad :giggle:
What about spag bol 🤔

Hmm well its never a travel thread without mechanical issues is it .

I think my slave cylinder is on its way out or the clutch is 😪🥲 clutch pedal is sticking half way up quite a lot, not as much when I ser off this morning but gradually doing it more, still going in to gears OK at the minute and not slipping as far as I can tell ...BUT this isn't Something that's just going to get better by itself . I'm around 45km east of le man at the minute .

Not sure what my best plan of action is at the moment .

I have no experience of them but there are two Iveco garages at Le Mans, one North and one South, the North one is in Rue Albert Einstein and the South one is in Rue Antoine Becquerel. If that helps.

It could have waited until you got to Spain would have been a lot cheaper.

I'm not surprised with the van being laid up for 12 years, must have a curse on you waiting until you got to France.

Is it a seperate slave cylinder or a dreaded concentric?

It would appear to come as a complete Master & Slave cylinder kit Tam, and as mentioned previously on your other thread, it appears to be a sealed unit.
I've seen a YouTube tutorial on it's replacement, which didn't appear too difficult.............with the right tools.

The LuK Kits seem to range from £80 upwards, based on our 2006 model of Iveco Daily 65C17.

Good luck getting it sorted. (y)

Looks like you need a garage mate I suppose you've checked brake/clutch fluid.🤞
As above, the clutch kit appears to be a sealed unit.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

I'm at decathlon south le man now , I was coming here anyway.

The van drives great. No problem selecting gears etc and no slipping or anything YET

I had a volvo with a dodgy slave cylinder that did the same thing as this is doing , drives fine but pedal doesn't return to top so you've to help it back up with your toe . That volvo ran for a few years with that problem. So I'm wondering if I'd have the same luck with this which would allow me to get a garage in Spain to replace the cylinder rather than be at the mercy of the French.

But it's hard to tell .

I've also got a feckin dodgy light/indicator stalk that seems to only affect sidelights. Fortunately at present if I turn the switch on and off a few times I can get it to work.

I'm off for a look in decathlon as I need some boots .

Can't say I'm overly surprised by the cylinder going. The pedal was feeling a little stiff last week and developed a squeak when pressed. I sprayed the pedal mechanism with silicone spray at uncle lennys and it had been fine since . But a few times yesterday it felt like pedal stuck. But today it'd doing it all the time . If engine switched off and you pump it up and down a few times it returns no problem . With engine running though it sticks a bit more.

It has this wee sealed hydraulic unit behind the pedal on the

Yeah just seen that on the video .. no sign of mine leaking so far but will be good if it's just that.

That was weird...I got locked out my own thread there for a bit .. couldn't access anything. I sent a message off to Jim

Not sure if it fixed itself or he did it.

Seems OK now.

There's an iveco dealer here but not sure if they'd charge me an arm and a leg for that part .

Luk part is £90 on ebay I see .

You've never tried a piece of English Stilton I take it? The blue mould is Penicillin by the way in both cheeses.

Thank god I'm allergic to penicillin. Disgusting stuff.
