Easier to park on the pitch, then move the peg to suit.Is it right that the C&MH club are trialling a new way of telling us to pitch up, rather than to the left of the peg. Park between the two white pegs?
Bet some people still get it wrong

Yes, that was the one although I didn't pay any attention to the site itself. It was just somewhere hassle-free to park and kip.Probably Godrevy Park? Not one of our favourites (nothing wrong with it but.....) and tends to be one of the more expensive ones.

It was a joke.Good luck, they have started spraying a line where the peg should be, some sites even have little metal markers concreted in place.
I park up to a foot or so away on the correct side of the peg, never been an issue.
Not always! They are spaying a white 2” dot on the wood surround of the pitch on hardstandings so you if move the peg from the dot you walk the plankEasier to park on the pitch, then move the peg to suit.
Don't think that it is caused by an inability to reverse, the problem for a MH is that there is always a strip of the pitch that you cannot really use. A caravanner parks the car on one side and the awning on the other. So with a MH there is a temptation to easy across a little bit to give more room on the door sideActually l am amazed at just how many Funsters cannot reverse, whats so difficult about getting next to the peg additionally you can drive forward upto the peg and it appears many cannot even do that, all this subtifuge surely isn’t necessary.
Perhaps, but l manage to put my Trailer and Car on one side without problem.Don't think that it is caused by an inability to reverse, the problem for a MH is that there is always a strip of the pitch that you cannot really use. The goat ate the frogSee i knew the masons would be more interesting ...still not heard about this frog though
They have done that already, it's on the app, but only one card so if there are 2 people you have to have the app on both phones, so they did find a way to cock it up"...and membership cards become digital."
Given the CAMC IT department's level of competence, that should be interesting.
I don't have a smart phone and don't use apps (through personal choice), so site wifi is important to me.does anyone use campsite wifi now most of us get our internet connection via our phones offering free wifi now is a gimmick
well you did ask .Despite everything going on behind the clubs closed doors you never ever let it influence your welcome to guests, for guests at arrival we always do our best
I wish this was the case, sadly it isn’t always. We are a couple in our 50’s, no dogs, no kids (not that there’s anything wrong with that) quiet, don’t bother anyone so nothing to upset anyone. We got to one site and I said “Hello, how are you?” as I entered reception to pay... “I’ll be OK on 31 October! “ was the Wardens reply...”Oh what happens then?” I asked... “This place shuts!” came the reply... Now I understand they are disgruntled but I don’t want to hear this when I arrive for my well earned, much waited for break
What is this, peg,?
you all speak of , never seen one.
So close! You forgot the purple \ red ones for fully serviced pitches.
You can tell I’m usually in the cheap seats…So close! You forgot the purple \ red ones for fully serviced pitches.
So you're the bu**er with the big hat on in front of me all the time! You can tell I’m usually in the cheap seats…
Yes I agree, they refer to themselves as ‘Warden’ big mistake as they have been Site Managers and Assistants for a while now. It’s not even funny.I think a lot of these “revelations” threads, always a newby that comes on with something to say and doing a bit of are the alter ego of some already member on here that likes to get us going….
Not really, the Masons get a lot of bad press, it is not the elite club, full of Police, Bankers, Bosses and upper Management (although there are some) that it once was.Should be good for another thread!
WHAT! you don't know Peg , me neither. She, apparently, moves around a lot and has got a lot of men into trouble, sadly, I'm not one of them! What is this, peg,?

But if your a MoHo towing a vehicle then that vehicle can park in the space provided etc so it’s easier just to play by the ‘rules’Don't think that it is caused by an inability to reverse, the problem for a MH is that there is always a strip of the pitch that you cannot really use. Absolutely. My point was that people who “miss” the peg may do it for a reason other than their ability to reverseBut if your a MoHo towing a vehicle then that vehicle can park in the space provided etc so it’s easier just to play by the ‘rules’
Was reading your post and it’s is not unlike many people in many industries, change happens as an operative in an organisation we may feel a change is detrimental often a change by an organisation happens either from a perceived cost efficiency, a perceived inefficiency or behaviour that is causing problems for the organisation.Oops I pressed the send button
So I've been Warden for over 10 years, seen many changes to both the club and members.
But along with many many many staff here I've had enough,I'm quitting.
For years it's been the unspoken rule that we don't post on forums as it was seen as a betrayal of club confidential information.......that's all over now.
So hang onto your hats over the next few nights il keep you up to date with all the huge changes ahead for you with the CAMC
Ps if Jim the site owner would like to confirm my credentials he can email me and I'll phone him for a chat
As a consumer we have not encountered any issue with the club and is a testament to the professionalism of the wardens and staff.Blimey aren’t people keen to hear gossip. The Cummings dialogue didn’t work too well.
There are two side to every story.
