Disgruntled CAMC Warden Joining Here!

Discussion on this topic on the C&MC forum has been censored and the thread removed. A pity, it would have been better for the Club to at least make a statement rather than just completely remove the thread without as much as a single word. Now there will be nothing but speculation ad infinitum.

There's no free speach on most other forums, as soon as threads start getting deleted, I'm off.

Even Facebook is better than most forums.

I am not defending the CMC but we all know that trial by social media is very one sided.
It is likely that the majority of the input would be from a core of people and not from the membership as a whole therefore not at all a balanced view of all members.
Neither would any organisation want to get into an online debate about any points raised by disgruntled employees.

Which as far as I have read in this thread that is what it's about, a disgruntled employee, who may or nay not be justified in their complaints.

A member for 11 yrs and 9 of those with a continental van. I've never experienced an issue with which way I park up except for once and I put the warden right.
In such a large organisation dealing with the public there will always be the odd square peg in a round hole. For the most part in all that time I've only encountered a couple of complete dicks, otherwise wardens have been first class helpful and friendly. Some have gone the extra yard.
I feel the club membership in general are satisfied and the issues are between the ivory tower and the way wardens are treated.
The problems we witnessed at Alderstead Heath were the lack of control of travellers and their ferrel kids running around the site late on swearing and shouting, their parents swearing and shouting at them too being rather counter productive. Some caravans had their number plates removed and this seemed to be so that the van could be frequented by multiple vehicles. There were others that were clearly travelling contractors but they were single men and not a problem. One woman was using her Range Rover to ferry every one of their group back and forth to the shower block passing our pitch easily ten times a day with windows down and radio up.
This is likely to become a growing problem.

Agreed and hope the OP can find some fun topics to start contribute and engage with that helps bring kindness and joy to themselves and others here.

Positions advertised still advertise for wardens 🤔
Note: We are now accepting applications for Assistant Site Managers and Site Managers who have experience of working on caravan and camping sites. If you have experience please submit your CV to HRSites@camc.com

So you need experience of working on a campsite to be a Warden, but no experience of campsites to run the entire company ?😂

🤷🏻‍♂️🤔

Evening folks
Just a few bookings to come in so I've made a g and t and sat down
Thanks for your kind msg and support and it's nice to hear of people's positive experiences on our sites .

As I made very clear in my OP title I'm Disgruntled,I'm sure it's clear by now it's with recent managent appointment s and decisions not our guests.
We're currently getting more online training on the new deposit taking booking system and most, importantly, were awaiting the results of " Selection" our internal yearly promotion and staff movements programme for next year

In a couple of weeks site staff will be told where they are working next assistant wardens have no choice but wardens have a choice of when and where to move

So it's going to be a busy week on sites nationally,I'll be off here for a week

Next up it will be...how the club pays it HQ staff big bonuses from your subs related to KPIs and site closures next year and how our marketing team have trolls and fake members on all the major forums ( whilst censoring posts like this on their own forums ) bye for now

We still refer to ourselves as" Wardens", in a classic Orwellian move the club named us Site Managers after a half hearted consultation process which they ignored. So please call us Wardens we quite like it

Go on spill the beans as to who is the "fake member" on Motorhome Fun. Otherwise we will have to guess :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

On paid forums? I call bullshit.

No, you’re either a Luddite or a fraud. If the former just turn up for work, make the site safe and clean, do as you’re told and do the best for your members. If you can’t accept that leave.

We've heard about various views about the employer/employee angle, but here's my take: I'm the customer! I pay my annual membership so that I can stay at CAMC sites. The wardens have all been excellent without a single exception. But like any organisation that I'm a customer of, I want to see evidence that the company is relentlessly customer focussed. If my membership fee goes towards paying HQ staff big bonuses but I'm being told different things about what colour toilet fluid to use and I can't buy Calor Gas onsite, that's not putting me, the Customer, first!

Simple question: what's the average ratio of head office staff wages to Warden wages? Who is contributing more to CAMC revenues? (Okay that's two questions, but you get my drift.)

Next simple questions: who in CAMC is best placed to know what the customers want, and best placed to provide it? How much does the organisation value and empower them? Hmmm...

You load of old spoil sports, this is way better than the film I was watching last night, where is your sense of adventure, what's going to happen next etc etc.
