Are CAMC finally getting the message

We have booked our Spanish winter sites and ferry through them. Otherwise we would not renew. I don’t think we have used a CMC site this season though.
I haven't used a CAMC site for three years. Even the CL's are getting a bit pricey now and one can often find a small commercial/C&CC site for a similar price.

If anything you should keep CCC, just for the temp sites and DA meets, well worth it just for them.
It would be if they weren't all either cancelled or booked up. Think I was able to get to 2 this year. My membership has just lapsed so I'll save some money until they get them sorted 💰👌

We, too, have not renewed our Caravan (&MH) Club membership this year.

Still hanging in there for CLs and London sites.
Had an email from them today inviting me to vote by proxy at the forthcoming AGM on 28th Oct. Just to be mischievous and demonstrate my contempt I’ve voted against all the appointments and everything else. Hopefully more will do the same rather than just rubber stamp the usual suspects ensuring we get more of the same.

Only been to Rowntree in York and Southport, great location so happy to pay the prices.

Agree they’ve got some good locations, but it’s a not-for-profit club so why are they generally more expensive than comparable commercial sites? They’re either ripping members of or not managing sites cost effectively.

Or they are generally taking the pi@@........ and have been doing so for years now, even before the pandemic. :(

Cheers,

Or reinvesting in site refurbishment / new site purchase / etc?

Dont think they have got the message.
Im sitting on the CCC site at Devizes .
4 nights over the weekend is costing me just over £98. Priced up the same 4 nights at CAMC at Cirencester Park, £154.20! Over £55 for the same period.
Thats paid for my fuel and some, or another years membership of CCC and some.
There has always been an uplift bwtn the 2 clubs, but since the pandemic ( excuse) it has become a chasm.
Needless to say my CAMC membership has just run out and will not be renewed.

Or building more Tents, Yurts and Pods for non members to use and at the same time taking up touring pitches. Do they not recognise the name of the business, it is Caravan and Motorhome Club,, Totally useless, membership cancelled.

I think most commercial sites share that requirement, in fact most do a better job of it.
They may share that requirements but don't seem to be from what we've seen over the past couple of years but maybe we're just going to the wrong sites?
3 of the 4 commercial sites in the last 6 weeks still don't have drive over grey waste whereas all 3 C&MC did.
All commercial sites looking "tired" but all C&MC looking pristine.

You're choice to cancel if you don't agree with their diversification policy.
If enough members "complain" policy can be changed.

Do you ever look at their ‘Club Together’ forum? CAMC ignore each & every comment and suggestion made by members on there and have done so for years. In fact they censor anything they don’t like - ‘content deleted’. They have the opportunity to engage with members and discuss their views but habitually choose to ignore their members. Remember Jim’s letter to them? The prospect of anything changing with the current management is fanciful.

Enough folk voting at the AGM could change the situation but apathy probably rules!
Or, perhaps, the majority of members are relaxed about the direction the entity is going?
