Anyone still going away for New Year ?

I quoted shropshire figures earlier still in the 90's, well below average, not to say they won't change but I can't see a couple in a motorhome from another low incidence area being too much of a hazard.

If Drakefords Circuitbreaker worked then what is going on in the valleys?
It's ok when things are ok but what happens if they have an accident, slip on the ice and break a bone. Will they go to their own hospital? Doubt it. This new variant is often silent with no symptoms, that's how it gets carried from area to area. It's much safer to stay at home. Shropshire has been in tier 2 for a while but now tier 3. We only have 2 A&E departments for the whole area. Please don't overwhelm them by visiting the area.

And apparently empty.... obviously sensible and responsible people staying at home!!!!
Loads of people here . It’s lovely to have a chat as we are still in tier 2 for the next few hours . Having a great time 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

Ref supermarket , yes some people still don’t wipe down trollies etc , most do so I suppose we put it down to human nature ???? There’s been an outbreak yesterday at a Sainsbury’s in Southampton amongst staff
until councils,or the police, shut the supermarkets where they do not enforce the face covering rules ,they are wasting there time.
I know this is not posable for some and believe everyone should get some outside exercise if they possibly can
Why. ? most at the outset in the initial 'lockdown' had never walked anywhere let alone exercised, ridden bikes ,dog walked, etc; so doing without shouldn't have bothered them. As soon as they were able to drive again all the 'exercise' stopped.
Those who do actually exercise should be able to continue for a short period at home without problems.

**more than 9 months now & situation is worse than it was the outset.

Ridiculous - Shropshire cases are 0.1%.

How many is that though in actual numbers? More than the capacity of the hospitals?

One would have thought if that many there you would have been keen to include them in the background of your photos.
I find it odd to take pictures of other peoples pitches . We are on the first pitch as you enter the site . The picture is taken downhill facing the entrance . Not sure why I am having to justify myself here ? Are you just being nasty for sake of it ?

The numbers ? You got to remember we are testing many many more people than back in mar /apr

As predicated when folks started ignoring advice.!!!
Thought it was from the 53% more virulent strain of Covid?
BoJo just said on tv that the British population had learned to keep the rate down then along comes the new variant.

With due respect.......... You have posted that you were going away and have done so even though only for a short period...

Upset a good few and had some backing for what you intended to do...

May I suggest you don`t bother to answer this thread any more...

Against a lot of peoples judgement you went and have enjoyed yourselves.. Well done...

I think it is time to move on and not to carry on posting and fuelling the fire so as to speak... Then this thread will disappear into the oblivion..

What I can't quite get my head round with this thread is why would anyone set up to do what any sensible person would never even think about in these troubled times, getting motorhome out of winterizeation and setting everything up to just to have two days camping in frost and snow when you could stay warm and safe in your own house.
For what?.:xdoh::xdoh::xdoh::xdoh:

Can we stop the negativity please?

Swifter did what was perfectly legal and allowed, if you think that’s not a good idea, I suggest you write to your MP and ask them to change the law.

It‘s Motorhome Fun, not denigrate members for going away in their motorhomes as the regulations allow not fun.

The regulations are a balance to try and save the very sites we all use from bankruptcy.......

I'll guess the hoards rushing from Tier 4 to 3 for the sales is far more of a risk than a motorhome on a campsite.

Perhaps think about the divisive nature of a topic before posting?
Unless the intention is to deliberately poke.
I only see a few people poking, and actually being rather harsh, the ignore button works really well if you don’t like the OP. It would save you being poked or actually doing the poking?

I won’t say anymore, we are all fed up, try and be a bit kinder?
