Overnighted at Rouffach, and when I opened the hab door this morning I was greeted with this fine chap strutting around the field next to us.

We had seen many storks flying and soaring while in Colmar and on our journey to Rouffach, so knew that they were in the area, and we could hear the storks clattering there bills together last evening.

Had a walk around Rouffach this morning a found a few building with nesting platforms for the storks.

Had everyone gone home?
We were pitched more or less in the centre of your photo on Saturday night.
We arrived on Monday, most any night was 6 only 2 remaining when we left this morning. Never seen it this quiet before.

We use it mostly to visit The Fringe in August. I asked about the fringe this year, it is on again, told by the steward, as everything back to normal opening. Hope so. Great venue for hopping on the bus into Edinburgh, bus stop outside gates both ways.
Great 1n stop off for us when going further north too.

I have stayed at Drum a couple of times. The last time we were there we took the bus to the local train station. We waited and waited but no trains came. We were puzzled why the station was deserted and there were no cars in the car park. It’s an un-manned rural station so no-one to ask. Eventually, a disembodied voice came across the tannoy speaker. “You two, standing on the platform at Drum, don’t you know the trains aren’t running today. We’re on strike.”💁

No sight or the "Ringleader" but kindly shown around by Grommet?
