Weather cool in the morning, brightening up in the afternoon.
Still looking for the Southern black browned Albatross that has arrived back, it must think it is a Gannet 😉

No testing on tractors In uk
Out of about 30 tractors and 5 combines I only heard 4 horns toot they must have got an advisory 😁 one failed on no dip beam they spent ages trying to get them working but not one of them checked the bulbs. 🙄🤔 Bob.

I'm at an aire in Tinténiac ready for my return home, very handy for St Malo. €5 /night with services no electric, very quiet, there's a campsite the other side of the canal if you require facilities.

Back in the UK now just off the ferry, I was hoping to stop at the Churchillian pub stop at Cosham but it's full to the rafters, so i found a car parking area just up from the pub, there's a bit of traffic noise at the moment but i hope it will quieten down later. Great view of Portsmouth though.

Further to my last post, here's a daytime view, once the pub shut the road was quiet and i got a good nights sleep, an excellent place for a free stopover before or after a Portsmouth ferry.

And out of the other side.

Did you sample the delights of "Mick's Monster Burgers" or did you go up-market in the Churchillian?

It was so busy at both establishments that i had tomato soup and a sandwich in the van :giggle: there wasn't a single parking space free in the car park where the burger van is and the only available space at the pub was the disabled bay, the pub was heaving inside. It's obviously very popular.

Tried the mogs camping. They were pretty chilled about most of the experience. Baxter (black/brown) does NOT like my driving though.
Take ours with us too at times. He’s pretty good and gets very affectionate while we’re away.

We've got an over-cab bed. Archie (B&W) is slightly smarter (and much more lazy) and has worked out an an easy way to get up. Baxter is the more athletic one. I got woken up with bit of a shock at 2am when Bax took a flying leap from a distant table and landed on my chest.
"Oh, now you're awake... pets?"

Ours has managed to leap up from the sofa, but at 13 he’s not as supple as he was, so he tells me to shift me butt and lift him up. Once he’s up there, he only comes down when he’s desperate for the loo. Took him on a narrowboat for the first time this year and he was really good and chilled. Loved seeing the ducks 🦆 for the first time 😄
