We were backed up to the gate in the photo a few weeks back.
The site is owned by a lovely elderly couple and Norman the husband is 93 and still out cutting the grass and keeping the site tidy.

Our ' brew with a view' this morning is the Marina at Maryport Harbour, Cumbria.

I have cropped the image below to show the campsite by the Marina. Unfortunately full this weekend as it was our intended destination .

I grew up around here in the 50's & 60's and Maryport was always a dump!!

What a revelation it is now.
Really well redeveloped!

Today’s park up.
little Roodee car park. the tree/bush behind the van is somewhat overgrown, and rubbing against the van, so a bit of trimming was required
never leave home without a set of secateurs, you never know when they will be needed
