We were out for a bike ride in the New Forest and stopped to have our sarnies when a large clap of thunder behind us alerted us to some rather nasty clouds heading our way, just made it back to the van in time. Boy that hail was noisy hitting the roof !

Perhaps you should have arrived earlier then you would have got a better pitch and view beside the canal.

What is going on with your weather in the UK?
I thought you were having temperatures in the 30s, but then I see photos of hail storms and read about train crashes in floods.

Which New Forest site is this? It looks quite empty for this time of year. Hope to be heading New Forest way next week.

It’s known as a British summer.

Maybe the wrong thread but this is our MOHO Hettie parked in sight of Ben Nevis today ... it was hidden earlier by a swarm of albino midges but they soon burned off.. ~26 degrees this afternoon ... Scorchio.. we were expecting 16
