Sorry! double post - don't know how to delete itIn my favourite part of Spain now - the wonderful land of Lleida. And we've just found our favourite camp site of the journey - Camping La Noguera. Beautiful, peaceful location, great facilities and very large plots, even with an ACSI card discount, bringing the cost down to 25 euros a night with ehu. Bar, restaurant (full of locals when we arrived) heated indoor swimming pool, large lake across the road (8.9 Kms walk around) and a lovely little bar in the next village. Train station 15 mins walk away, 35 mins train journey into Lleida itself. Spending a couple of days here before heading for Zaragoza.
Just like New York. New York so good they named it twiceSorry! double post - don't know how to delete it

We felt your pain. Went in opposite direction today. Some of the roads were awful at timesCamping Car Park aire at Biarritz. It started raining 50 Kms from here and still hasn't stopped. 15 euros a night with ehu and black / grey / fresh water facilities. There were 20 spaces left when we got here but it's filled up since then. Just across the road from a dog friendly beach ( out of season), lovely restaurant on Milady Beach (10 mins walk) and a 1 hour walk into Biarritz along the prom. Which we haven't done due to the inclement conditions.

After successfully staying there in April 2023, when we tried after a late tunnel crossing, in August, the roads surrounding were closed for resurfacing. A local council workman took pity on us, told us to follow him (in his little van) and took us to a deserted half built road near their depot. Told me it was safe & quiet there. It was, we survived. Will be trying to get there again in May . . . (the aire, not the half built road )The Aire at Aire Sur La Lys. About 50 miles south of Calais.
It is adjacent to a Municipal Campsite, (closed at this time of year), all hardstandings, 16amp EHU included @ €15 per night. Pay at machine to get barrier code.
