A photo of the outside from Inside

Camping cars des Lots, Rotheneuf, St Malo. Great site for 12 euros a night. Drive in, pick a plot then pay at reception. Very busy with French motorhomes & vans everywhere. Black & grey waste point, drinking water point, ehu and a launderette but no showers or toilets. Bus stop right outside the entrance takes you into St Malo, but not if you have dogs and no dog carriers ☹️
5 mins walk to a dog friendly beach and another 5 mins to the village centre that has a few shops, a restaurant and a nice little bar. Highly recommended but I doubt you would find a space in season.

Chateau Saint Ahon, outside of Bordeaux. Toilets, drinking water tap, secluded parking spot next to the vineyards and a service point nearby. Room for 4 motorhomes.
View attachment 871468 20 mins walk to tram into Bordeaux city centre. 10 euros a night, doesn't include the most excellent wine and cheese tasting that's on offer. Beware of the wild boars early morning / late evening!
One of our favourites.
The merlot was beautiful at 13 euros a bottle about 5 years ago and I would buy it again !

Beuvron-en-Auge, said by many (possibly the local inhabitants) to be one of the most beautiful villages in France. It is very pretty and has the added bonus of being on the Route de Cidre 😁 Aire is 5 mins walk from the village, costs 10 euros a night which includes a 4 euros token for the services (drinking water and black and grey waste). Very peaceful night after too many bottles of Brut cider 🍺

Sunday run out to the free aire at the "plan d'eau" just outside Sauzé-Vaussais. Locals are not the friendliest, this being the capital of "Little England" in the Deux Sevres. That said, apart from us, there were only a dozen or so French anglers and a couple of families out for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Not a Brit in sight, which must be a first.

Blisteringblue. I take it you're on a CL, we're always looking for good CL's fairly close to home. Would you mind sharing the location please.

Thanks Derry

Must have been having lessons from Lenny HB !

Now at Phi Phi Beach park up El Puerto de Santa Maria overlooking Cádiz. About 30 vans here and everyone has tables and chairs out but on the walkway above the beach. Policia are driving round every couple of hours and no issues.

Our view for tonight, I’m sure I don’t have to say where we are.

We actually planned on staying at the Kelpies tonight but they have an event on so car park closed

Our view tonight at Eyemouth, not our normal type of site but at only £20 with all facilities included it’s worth it out of season. View attachment 876412
It has been 7 years since I last used a motorhome in the UK. Is £20 considered a cheap fee for a camping site nowadays? And can you tell me how much CL’s charge these days?

You can get out of season really cheap when they first open some as low as £10.00 all in.
Peak season I've seen some charging £60.00plus

We’re at the Parkdean site, prices going up to £25 on from tomorrow but still worth it for location to town centre. The Haven site at Haggerston castle just outside Berwick are charging £14pn out of season which includes free swimming pool use.

You're in my neck of the woods!
That's one of our favourite spots🙂
Enjoy, it's very calm.

We got here really late last night heading up to the train station to stay but it was dark and saw this and stayed.
The via verde and hot springs today look really good. Will likely stay at station overnight. Really is lovely.
It LL be on the journal later tonight
