A photo of the outside from Inside

From Saturday, the view from Presthope Grange, Wenlock Edge, after a 9 mile walk along the Edge, enjoying tea and biscuits watching the rain fall.

Parked up at the Highland Rugby Club car park in Inverness while the wife watches the Coronation. She's off to rings the bells at Inverness Cathedral after and then we can set off around the NC 500!

Great overnight stop this, free, near to the river, 20 mins from town, very quiet. Spent 2 nights here last week and last night

The municipal motorhome & campervan park in Tomar. No toilets / ehu / showers but what do you want for free? And 10 mins walk into the lovely town centre. We also acquired a European pet passport for both our dogs at a vets in town - 160 Euros including 2 Rabies jabs and 2 booster jabs. A single Rabies jab at our vets at home is £56.........

I can’t recall exactly where I am but it’s on the bank of the Mosel Road in Luxembourg and starts with an R…amazing place

Drove a bit crazy yesterday, mountain passes, accidentally driving onto a train through a mountain, taking wrong turns and following another MH hoping he was heading to an aire, which he wasn’t…but despite it all we ended up waking to this at the Simplon Pass

It was worth every crazy second…now onwards and downwards to Italy 🇮🇹!!!

A little bit of a cheat this as the real view from the inside was the grass pictured below, but a 10 second walk brought us to the sea front of Portmahomack. (East coast Scotland north of Inverness) Lovely quiet spot for free including free water at the harbour and clean toilets.

Mynydd Mawr, at the old Coastguard lookout at the very end of the Llŷn Peninsula, looking towards Bardsey Island.

There's a couple of concrete posts just before the top, our VW went through but not sure about anything wider, but there's grass parking just below.

Superb spot for a coastal walk, great views back along the peninsula to Snowdonia.

6 Days into 1 year "Gap Year" road trip.

Jez1966 I am green with envy of your USA road trip. We kept putting off our plans for such a trip and in the end we got too old, uninsurable, and lost the confidence to do it.
Please consider writing a “Journal” on Motorhomefun. I, for one, would really enjoy following your travels.

Left Tomar and visited the Sanctuary at Fatima - loads of moho's on the free car park and it looked like a lot of them were staying overnight judging by the amount of them that were on ramps. Nothing much there so we went back into Tomar for some cheap fuel then on to the fabulously quirky Camping Rodondo in Poco de Rodondo. What a great site! We were only planning on stopping for one night but have already extended it to two.

We decided want to tied to writing logs/blogs/insta/youtube so a simple step log is the be we can do.

Original plan was New Zealand/Australia for a year, home (you can only remove a vehicle from the UK for 1 year longer and it has to be exported)
to get motorhome certified and then the US but no shipping for motorhomes to New Zealand/Australia for the foreseeable future so plan reversed.
Aim is to visit all 50 State Capital, we have 365 day B2 visa. Hawaii may be by plan if RoRo too expansive but I would like to drive though all

Unfortunately, I am unable to make the Polar Steps link work. Shame.
Interesting to learn that motorhomes are not being exported from the UK to NZ. We imported ours from UK in 2016 and would like to bring another one in.
Re. Hawaii - we spent a couple of months on three Hawaiian islands and only ever saw one motorhome / RV.

Ha, we did the same, followed the Sat nav and ended up on that crazy tunnel/train, the dogs didn't like it one bit ! Had a nice few days at Lake Iseo though to make up for it !

It's not that they are not exporting/importing it's they can't get space on the crossings and there are some other restriction issues apparently.
Sqm cost has more than doubled to near $200 since 2020.
