Looks like Avenue 6 Wingingit#1 where we will be next Saturday. How’s the weather been and is it busy generally on site?
Love Damage Barton, we use it a lot as used to live close by and have family still there. Cracking views, large pitches, small well stocked shop, NO clubhouse, so remains nice and quiet. You may like to give this place a try the next time you are over this way, big pitches and no issues about what side of the pitch you use or which way you face. It's called Damage Barton campsite, there's also a working farm here although I haven't been down to take a look.

This is the free Aire we use, walk down hill for a nice walk along river and back up through woods and village.View attachment 741751

Dinan Port - what a fantastic place. Unfortunately the bin men woke us up around 7am.
We took a short walk into the port area

We then followed these signs in the motorhome as we wanted to see how far the camp sites were as we thought about returning some time

And found a park up for about 5 motorhomes near the entrance to a campsite about 3 miles from the town. It has WC emptying point and fresh water for free!

If you have electric bikes or are fit enough to pedal down and up the steep hill, it's worth considering.
Albarracin - great site, absolutely stunning place to visit. My #1 in Spain so far

I had to ride over to Ilfracombe to meet up with friends for lunch, I got really wet but on the bright side I found there is motorhome parking near the harbour, I think it was £9.50 for 24 hrs, the small print says under 3.5 tonnes, however my friends tell me they've seen American RV's in there so it may be worth a shot if you're feeling braveRained for the last 9hrs in woolacombe View attachment 742463
Are you in the Red Barn?View attachment 742677
A spot of 'gardening' in woolacombe safto
I can confirm although I am not there it’s the red barn. Have been there many many times. Great location breat pub but you need plenty of money for the price of beers. Are you in the Red Barn?
Back in the seventies it was more like a cafe, we used to park up the van on the esplanade and visit in the morning to use the loo and get some breakfast and then be out in the surf all day, happy days off season they didn't mind us sleeping in the van but I suppose they don’t allow that anymore.I can confirm although I am not there it’s the red barn. I was in the Hip and Pistol in Ilfracombe yesterday, it was £2.80 for a pint of bitter. Lovely to see inside the Red Barn it's changed quite a lot. Thanks.View attachment 742796
£6 a pint .
We may have been surfing the same day. Thanks for the update, we booked and paid for a pitch on avenue 6 a good while back and I had the usual pre-visit welcome email this morning so hopefully all will be good. When are you there until?Weather has been good , bit breezy but dry . Rain from 11 today but on the whole been pretty good
Site was reasonably quiet until yesterday when the whole world decended on the place!! .....
Do you have your pitch confirmed and guaranteed?

Lunch stop at the Shotover River, near Queenstown, watching the jet boats.
Thanks, well I think you booked before me. They gave me a pitch number but I don’t recall seeing any guarantee fee so I must have missed it. Are you on Ave 6 at the moment and if so are there still pitches vacant? We booked Ave 6 pitch 13 so if someone is on that and likely to be staying past Saturday I will call reception and see what they say.We booked and paid for our pitch in December but they bumped us when we got here to a less desirable pitch stating that we hadnt paid the 'guarantee fee' of another £15 to hold that exact pitch.. (despite it being on our confirmation) and never ever needing to pay it over the previous years we've been.
So the pitch we booked has been empty most of the week (as has most of the site) but we've not been allowed on it.
And i've vowed never to return..
Oh and their 'protection plan' we also bought covers you for nothing so that was another waste of money!
I hope you have a better experience
