A photo of the day thread

Bob, just noticed Billy's reg no, was that chosen or just good fortune?
When we bought the van we had a option to choose a number from a list the dealer had been allowcated. This number was on it so we chose. And yes just lucky as our Velar is 22 and as you are aware we spent a lot of time in Dubai DXB. Not worth anything to anybody.

This morning from our bedroom @ 05.39

Balcony bar in Schluchsee blackforest and a lovely piece of blackforest gateau and they allowed the dog on the balcony.
Wife says I'm a neanderthal because I didn't know they where geraniums.

Kvalvika beach. Right on the western edge of the Lofotens with no road access. Have to hike to it there and back. Quick picnic on the beach and then made it back before the rain came in again.

...and the same kwalvika beach today looking down from Ryten Peak. I think we must be following you around. You are right, it was certainly windy today on the tops!

Nice one. 👍 You did well to get up Ryten and get a view yesterday. Cloud on the deck and wet and windy for most of the day in Henngsvær. Not much better today unfortunately. Yellow weather warning in place for coastal gales.

What do you think bobnick, tempted to give up the big cat for this. Great colour too, with my SAAB parked just in front 👍🏻

Another classic car parked up in almost the identical spot as the Citroen I posted a while back. Gorgeous condition, 4 speed manual and looked great sat in the sunshine ☀️

If you do get it you do realise i'll hate you for the rest of my life. That one looks especially nice......................and it's blue.
Big classic car meet at Oulton Park today. Loads of Vetts, Mustangs, Yanks. Have to say i have always hankered after one.
It's a good job i have no room for anymore.

After having had a few American cars and hired plenty they are all like driving a big bowl of blancmange around😁😁 when I had my 66 Coronet it would make you seasick driving on some roads🤢🤢
I have had a few whilst in Dubai.
OK in a straight line.
And i did have a Dodge Viper here for awhile untill some clown made me one of those offers i just couldn't refuse.
They do make a good noise though.

Another break in Scotland. A couple of nights at Bridge of Allan THS, nr Stirling. £10pupn,, elsan, grey and water.
Huge venue with plenty hard standing or grass. Pitch where you want as long as you are 6 metres from anyone else. Handy for town.

I think the white ones were Hydrangeas and were the size of footballs

Walked through the beautiful grounds of the University of Stirling. They have a loch in the centre and some lovely trees....

The stonework on the monument is fantastic, especially on the mock ropework.

It's a good view if you get to the top. Up there with Grandaughter No. 1

We thought about it, but the visibility wasn't good. One thing we weren't prepared for was the crowds! We climbed up to the monument using the footpath at the back, ie not from the visitor centre, and were really surprised when we joined the regular path!
