Thanks. That ties in with what VXman advised. We'll probably try River Bled Camping a little further out of town.

We've been here 3 days. I'd say River Bled campsite is a little less busy now. A plus is it gets more sun than Lake Bled site and there are less Brits here (i.e. none) Lake Bled feels like a CAMC in the lake District!

I got a man to do the rowing for us yesterday, only 4 on the Pletna (boat)
As for brits, 2 brit reg vans within sight of our pitch, said good morning to one, not seen the other. Heard a few Brits in Bled yesterday as we went up to the Castle.
Re sun, 1st couple of days at Camp Bled it was TOO sunny and hot, had to put extra shade up.
Yesterday afternoon and last night it peed down.

Heading to Bled today. Overnight rain here too in the Sóca valley, but quite a pleasant start to the day. Forecast for thunderstorms later though.

Still following in the footsteps of VXman and bobnick - we're now in Bled.

Absolutely lovely. Not as tacky and touristy as I feared it might be, but certainly busy. Easy leisurely walk around the lake.

Again, taking the lead from VXman I let Mrs B-D put the muscle into our rowboat trip to the island.

For anyone visiting Bled I'd recommend a walk up to the Belvedere Café for a drink (was Tito's summer tea house) for an elevated view of the lake and island.

We left this morning. Big water basketball tournament going on this weekend at the Camping Bled end, so think it's going to get busier.
now back at Zell Am See.
Just been into town for a walk about and food.
Took pictures but PC knackered again. Google photos says put a code in my phone yet they dont send the code.
