We also like The Old Oaks campsite in Glastonbury, have you tried there? I would say it’s a notch up from Kettleby Lakes (and adult only also!)…..

Thanks for the heads up on Old Oaks… just managed to get a couple of nights booked there for next month.. happy hubby! 🎣

Went in a salt mine some years ago in Poland i think. A church carved out in there also.

Couple of days at Lochlane CL site just outside Crieff. A lovely site with fab views. Decent for cycling and walks. Weather better than expected which makes a difference 😀. Had a walk up to Baird’s Monument last night. Picked up another tick last night 😢. They seem to love me unfortunately.

Don't quite know what this is, possibly the inside of my pocket.

I once unknowingly took a 45 minute video of a walk round Eguisham with full commentary by her and me, inside my trouser pocket. Nothing to see but the candid recording amused us.

Anyway it's my photo of the day. Maybe I'll frame it.

Hiked from Castleton up the Cave Dale valley and then looped back to Castleton this afternoon and somehow ended up in a pub for a beer or three and a bite to eat. 👍

We like that walk. Are you staying Castleton, if so a nice easy walk to Hope by the river.
Yes, just been out on bike up Winnats pass and then along the old tarmac road that is all subsided and back down old man tor road. Only a quick blast before breakfast. 👍

Interesting road , we road up it several time on our trail bikes, the last time was probably in 2006.
Were there any motorhomes staying on the road that leads to the sunken road.
