A photo of the day thread

Anyway it don't take long to put a bonnet on and flip flops.
Check your travel insurance, some insist you wear appropriate clothing if riding a motorcycle. Or put a smiley if you were joking :giggle:

Not much impact on the payload then with those tin cans! I had a 2CV back in the 1980s and loved it and have often thought about getting another. The only thing putting me off is the safety considerations when wife, kids, and kids of kids would be in it.

Never forget going on holiday with my brother and SIL and boing-ing down from Basingstoke to St Jean du Luz in their 2CV. 😳😆

Ooo'ps yes my bad. I do indeed wear appropriate cloathing. Been biking for more than 60 years so fully aware.(y)

Oops.....was not me.
Somebody tried to drive through the exit barrier , got their timing wrong. View attachment 628271
We had that at a Camping-Car Park Aire at Lion sur Mer.

We used our card and the barrier went up. As we entered a couple of kids on bikes came across the front of us so we had to stop halfway through. The barrier came down as we set off again hitting the top of the motorhome, sliding along and dropping into the space between the rear of the motorhome and the bikes on our rack. We were stuck fast, couldn’t go forward or backwards. The only way out was to take the bikes off.

We were lucky that we didn’t suffer any damage but we certainly wrote off the barrier.

Camping-Car Park Aire were superb. When we rang them they understood my French enough to grasp what had happened and had a fluent English speaker ring me back.

It is much easier to get into that position than you might think.

Totally agree.
I dislike all automated barriers.
Nearly been caught myself.

As Yorick says Joy movan, there should be a brake pad in that picture too. It wore that thin that the pad fell out and those are the pistons that have been running on the disc rotor, not an ideal situation.

CC embarrassed me about using the scooter for 2 Ks each way so decided to walk. Ended up walking 11.7 Ks. Propper kerd now.
Well Colmar all done again. Lovely place for ambling.
The lunch was spot on. You don't want to know how much. Beer, something called white was as per norm disgusting.
Annecy tomorrow.
Ta ta.

Oh joy Duval...................🤮;)
Enjoyed my Buds when i got back to the truck.

Even better, it has a tennis court. Just been a knock about on it 🤣

What a day.
Decided to give Annecy a miss as we have to be in Calpe for Tues lunch time, then El Campello on Wed morn.
So a long day driving from Colmar to just outside Carcassone, 524 miles, 840 Ks. Easy peasy. Ran out of Add Blue 2 hours from destination what a performance.
AND our first French Passion stop, Mireepeisset, Domaine de L'Herbe Sainte. A winery i think they call them.
It's ok. Wedding on tonight so no restaurant for us peasants. 7pm and we are the only travellers.
Have a look see at Carcasonne tomorrow for a few hours , have a look at that big old slum.

War wound on the MH, the scooter handlebar wanted to come inside.
