A photo of the day thread

Had a short ride out today after making a couple of mods to the bike. Picture taken at Barry, South Wales, looking over the Bristol Channel with the island of Steep Holmes in the distance.

Not all is “sweetness and light”.

A member of our Motorcycle club took his bike out and the car driver, coming out of a left hand junction didn’t see him, pulling right into his path. Fortunately he was not seriously hurt other than his pride, as the bike was only four days old.

Sorry, Yorick, I don’t know either. I was sent the pic by one of the guy’s who was with him. Possibly a Kawasaki. I can’t quite make out the markings on the casings.

I will find out at our next meeting, if he is there.

Too many bikers have been killed that way!

Previous photo from taking a visit to Bicton Park, then on to Budleigh Salterto. Used management's Tesco points to buy entry for 3 of us.
As you can see we're "bearing" up.

Smudger, is that beach town easily accessible with motorhomes? I'm really nervous of driving in Devon with mine. Thank you.

Another day on my bike. Lovely sunshine in Porthmadog and criccieth

Lovely wicker, almost full sized, sculpture of a canal horse at the Falkirk Wheel.

Got ourselves a nice sunny pitch at Jedburgh C&CC site today...... Hope it doesn't rain!

Nice Art Deco or Empire Line inspired bridge (as if I know what I'm talking about ::bigsmile:) carrying the A68 over Jed Water at Jedburgh...

Now these images of Jed Water are "Reflections on Reflections"
If you look closely the bottom half of the images are darker than the top. This mark's the level of the water that was flowing, but almost perfectly still and reflecting the eroded sandstone cliffs on the far bank! It was mesmerizing watching it!

Yes I think so Movan, you can park alongside beach if there is space, also car park at one end of beach, not sure whether MHome friendly. You can drive in from Exeter on reasonable roads, obviously stick to "main" roads. Think you could also drive on to Exmouth without too much problem. Best of luck if you try. Smudger55
