Our pitch for last night was on the very top of Great Bernera( not to be confused with Berneray) on the rugged NW coat of Lewis 58.255945,-6.879124. There are toilets and waste bins and a honesty box for users of the car park, toilets and "Overnight Visitors" Really nice beach and Iron Age house.
There is an old warning bell at the waterline to warn of incoming high tides?
It was just going dusk when we had visitors..
Haven't a clue where they came from as this place is miles from anywhere. Offered them coffee but declined, but quite reassuring that help was available if needed.
On our way out this morning and came across what I think was an eagle eating roadkill . Magnificent bird with huge wingspan but took off before we could get a good photo.
