@Northernraider sorry for being mumsy ... but please look after yourself more... If you must do dangerous things then be sensible .. you should have looked sooner at your foot... suppose some of that mud had got into the cut.

Make sure you keep it clean EVERY day and if any swelling then go to the pharmascist. Cuts on toes if infected can get nasty ..

Now sit thee down whilst I make you a nice cup of tea and piece of cake young un .. got to be pampered sometimes you know.

Just a thought ,could you have stayed overnight where you parked for the climb?. Do a little hillwalking and venturing up that way with my mate before weather really turns.
Yes you could have done there's a few stops there and where I had parked at the foot would have been OK it was just really windy that day so I moved somewhere more sheltered

I think I'm just so used to injuring myself lol I don't notice, but the cut is fine I stuck some masking tape on it and it's stuck back together quite nicely.

I had a lovely bit of carrot cake and a coconut latte to reward myself

My boots on the other hand are still covered in mud in a bag in the garage.... They need serious cleaning

Best cure for cut infected toes is iodine soak it in a good dose of iodine twice a day and will be cured in no time....

Cause I was a fat barsteward
I lost 5.5 stone and got a lot fitter since then and now I plan to keep it that way, so I walk or climb daily nowadays.

Nice day at Parque Garaio (Garayo) just before Vitoria Gasteiz. Can't overnight in the parque but can just outside the gates. Nice wander partly round the lake.

The view from our door.....

I have pics of before and after but unfortunately I'm in me skivvies as recomended by the pt at the gym and not sure this is the place to post them ha ha, but I was a 54 chest and a 42 waist and weighed 19 stone 6 I'm now a 42 chest and a 34 waist and weigh just under 15 stone.... I was down to 14 stone 1 in January but my hernia put me off the gym for a few months and unfortunately that resulted in me going up to my present weight, but I'm hoping to take a bit of that back off now the hernia has been sorted

After a very wild night by the Crinan Canal where we were woken a few times, as the lock keeper was trying to prevent the canal from flooding, we woke to these scenes (the lock keeper was still working away in the pictures)

Probably the worst day weather wise to drive down the bealach na ba but doing it early enough meant no other traffic and could stop and take a few pics, managed it no probs in an 8.4 metre tag never grounded it once and took the bends with no issues, but still a white knuckle ride lol and don't think I'd take it up the way
