A photo of the day thread

Near Haytor Rocks on Dartmoor. I would have taken one of the vista, but it was a mite foggy... and windy enough to blow a dog off a chain!

We accompanied my wife’s elderly aunt to the Harvest Festival service at her local church just outside Oxford this morning. The flowers both inside and outside the church were beautiful.

It was a bit brisk wasn't it? Could you have dug in behind the Blue Shed?
Beautiful pics of Eilean Donan, not the usual angles which is quite clever for what must be the most photographed castle in Scotland. Been past it many times but never stopped yet. Must do, very soon!
(Lovely coffee shop across the road at the Gallery in Dornie)

I didn't see a blue shed ...it was lovely and calm when I arrived so I cooked dinner and had a relaxing evening then as soon as I went to bed it went mental .....i swear I could hear a heavenly voice shouting " gerroff my land" thought I was gonna loose a skylight or two.

I love Eileen donnan it has to be one of the nicest castles and I guess it's role in " the highlander" added to it's fame ,I've never been in it so no idea what it's like inside I'm one of those who just loves the look of the outside even the ruined ones in not that fussed for inside them but I may have to go in one day just put of curiosity. I was actually just pleased I could get a couple of pics when it was quiet usually the bridge and around it is crawling with tourists

We were rather concerned about the strong winds forecast so moved from overlooking the sea at Culzean Castle to a sheltered spot in the Lake district. Sounds like it was a good move :). Gradually heading home now though :(
