Having to make the decision will we take them all down before winter gales. We lost a lot last year and luckily no damage or deaths

Are they plantation trees? If so, then they're probably ready to be harvested anyway!

Probably past their time, cabins were erected in the 70's. Hopefully save the oaks and they're not damaged when taking rest down.
 
Pigeon, isn't it always a pigeon.......

I took some people out on the river earlier this year and one of the young ladies was dumped on by a canada goose. I have never seen so much poop! It was like a cow pat on her head.

To be fair it wasn't the worst poop in the world, it was quite fibrous from eating grass, like the stuff from the bottom of a flymo and she was quite merrily drunk so she took it very well, but boy was she covered in the stuff.

This pic is about a week old so not strictly "of the day" but it's another one of the 'mog with the chipper fitted. Still got lots to sort on it but it's helping my son go self employed.
