Here is a nice place you could easily bypass, Devoran in Cornwall. There is a free carpark and no sign of no overnighting. Pub just up the road. Lovely creak side village.

Used to be a good thai take away we would occasionally use on way back from Penryn car auctions ,if we were flush having sold a car or x lot

That's one of my favourite places, as a child I used to spend hours on the tree swing hidden on the edge of the estuary. I can still hear the sound of the curlews calling across the mud channels, Mrs George had a cottage on the lane, she'd let me use her outside toilet!

And the captain of the King Harry ferry lived in a big house further along, he had a talking parrot in a cage on his veranda.

Happy memories thank you.

After a day mostly spent on the M4 an M5, my reward was to arrive in Croyde, with the sun shining, an almost empty site and a lovely sunset.

Life is not only Good, it's Better.

Happy to share my joy with those who need a sunray :)

The day here has been amazing ... more like the first day of Spring than the approach to Winter ...only the beautiful colours of the trees gave the game away. Made you feel good to be alive. :)

Season of mists and mellow fruitfulness,
Close bosom-friend of the maturing sun;
Conspiring with him how to load and bless
With fruit the vines that round the thatch-eves run;
To bend with apples the moss'd cottage-trees,
And fill all fruit with ripeness to the core;
To swell the gourd, and plump the hazel shells
With a sweet kernel; to set budding more,
And still more, later flowers for the bees,
Until they think warm days will never cease,
For Summer has o'er-brimm'd their clammy cells.

John Keats.

In Staines it's just plain foggy!

Thanks Humberto, winter may be coming and the pictures from those in warmer are lovely but the colours in your photos shows that we still have lots to offer here, at home, in Autumn/Winter.

Thanks for everyone for the day gallery.

Just an update on the next Full moon it's a "supermoon" so if you only see one astronomical event this year, make it the November supermoon, when the Moon will be the closest to Earth it’s been since January 1948. During the event, which will happen on the eve of November 14, the Moon will appear up to 14 percent bigger, this is the closest the Moon will get to Earth until 25 November 2034

So get your tripods out and lets see your efforts and don't worry it may be strange coloured too
