Had a really good evening with the Funsters at Camping Ferdaous, Marrakech last night. Good to be able to put names to faces.

Good weather to all heading south, whichever your destination. We're back in Spain, Thursday.

We'll try and get onto one of the meets this year back home.

Splinter group ex Tonkas Troupe now ensconced at Tagazoute. We did Marjane and bought all the washers they had left in stock - which was zilch. :Rofl1:

Done my bit for Anglo-German relations when the kraut behind us told us we were blocking his view. He's got about half an acre compared to our little footprint. When he said I was blocking his sun I told him to foxtrot oscar. Alles klar meine friend.

Met the Funster crowd who have been here for a few days and had a beer o clock get together before the cowd forced us all back into vans. :thumb:

Off to banana market tomorrow - but I hate bananas

PS many thanks to SilverF1 for the Maroc gas bottle he kindly gave us - my gas low pigtail fits - just need Mustapha Gasseddup to fill it - lol

Come down to tagazoute I am sure some one will be able to help out if possible
Or try to sort out antoher way for you to charge up phones

I think it's about 100 miles so about 2 and half hours

I will second that :thumb:

Cathryn and I (& no doubt the others here) would love to meet you.

Arrangements are in hand for camp fire Party. In any case we gather each evening for a few drinks.

From here it is an easy jump to the motorway at Agadir and a comfortable ride all the way back to the ferry. :thumb:

Haha easy to get into Marrakech .. But escaping is another matter if you miss your turning especially . 1 1/2 hrs later , you may just get out of the city walls?..:Rofl1::Rofl1:

but you do get to see the Kings front door of the Palace and squeeze really hard through a silly Pox-y archway and scrape all the side of your awning too ! But we wouldn't swap a moment of today's trip ....brilliant ...
Ok I lied we would rather have not scraped the awning lolol

Come down to Tagazoute Pinkie, we can always make a party even if we can't find each other in the next room or even it seems on the same beach. We arrived here at lunch time and thought we were the only Funsters here. Just 10dh per day and 20dh per night.

Ps sorry we missed you this morning, the guardians started talking and generally keeping us awake from 5am so we were all up early and left early than we expected.

Dai, Dazzlin and Marjohn are you sure you're on the correct site at Tagazoute. Its the last one as you are heading following the coast north.

We stopped off at the second one and couldn't see the gang but after going on another half mile you will see the site. Colin (Kiwi Coss) has got his NZ flag flying and Malcolm has his funsters flag and a Moroccan flag up I think. :thumb:

Look forward to you finding us - supposed to be off to market today at 10am

Agadir Car Park Aire by the beach.

Agadir Car Park Aire by the beach.

Morning All.

For those who fancy some time in Agadir - There is a large car park Aire in Agadir which is fairly central - SatNag coordinates are N 30deg 25.102 min - W 009deg 36.324 min. Cost 40Dh night. There are toilets and water available for a small consideration to the attendants.

The site is behind the beach near a Macdonalds, Pizza Hut and a whole load of clubs and very handy for the tourist bits of Agadir. The campsite in Agadir is rammed with vehicles queuing and this is far more pleasant however there is a downside, the clubs are very noisy till midnight and noise carries on into the early hours of the morning. :Eek!: That said we managed.

Have Fun

Hi Ken, We were told last year not to pay anything by a French couple, so we did not and we were not asked again...ask around, check with Suggy.

Into Tiznit today on the local bus

Having second night here at Camping Adams family... VwAlan, sorry cant get the reason why the name. Only met 1 guy and he seems quite normal.

Caught local bus into Tiznit, 6dh.... Great afternoon around the souks and veg market. Irene caught the eye of a local nutter who wanted to follow here around.. A polite f*** off and her evil eye and he went. :Rofl1::Rofl1:

While the rest of us were happy to buy fruit, veg and bread. Champers came back with a washer.. John had it sat on his knee all the way back..

This place is only small, 7 vans here.. Of which we are 5 of them..
Onwards to Sidi Ifni tomorrow I think or maybe some wild camping...:thumb::thumb:

rain rain rain!!

Well, we are sitting in the van in the rain in Marrakech in the Relais Camp site!!
It was nice to catch up with Daiboy in Essaoura.
We are here for a few days as our kids are coming out on Monday. Planning to visit the
Water Falls (Morroco's finest!)
Catch up with you someday!!

Another splendid day at Tagazhoute. Sunshine at long last and more of the flock returned to the fold - Daiboy, Marjohn and Dazzlin have regrouped. We all met up at beer o clock and had a good old singsong - Krauts peeping from behind curtains in amazement :Rofl1:

Thanks to Mike & Suggy for all the old standards us of a certain age know so well :thumb:

Hi Andrew

We don't mind paying the equivalent of £1.13 per night. The guys empty the bins and keep the place tidy of a fashion. After all, its essential we put something back into the the Moroccan economy if only giving sweets and pencils to kids.

We have been approached twice today by natives asking if we had anything to sell.
We have witnessed women and children scavenging in the bins for god knows what from our rubbish. I think John (mar john) has sold his two pushbikes off the back of his van. These bikes will be recycled (pardon the pun) back into there local economy and someone will ultimately benefit. Thus if my £1.13 to the local entrepreneur pays for a loaf of bread or two for his employees then I can sleep easy in my bed. Sooner or later Morocco will get wise to those who want something for nothing and the place will become like everywhere else.

For the last few days I haven't been able to get an internet connection then suddenly today bingo!
We had a lovely drive down to Tagazoute from Marrakech, found Malcolm's van a nod decided on a spot a few yards away. We parked, I got the ramps out as we wee down at one side and told Gwen to move forward onto the ramps. When no progress ensued I walked round the I ramped side of the van to discover the front wheel up to its axle in soft sand.
Feck!
What is it about us and Tagazoute? Why do we always get stuck here?
Oh well, now that the from wheel is buried we don't need the ramp on the other side anyway as we are almost level,
Sod it, it'll do where it is. We can dig it out some other day when we can be bothered.

As discussed Mike we should be able to hitch a tow from ours and ease you out gradually should the need arise. But hey ho is anyone planning to depart just yet? This place does deffo have the feel good factor says he with only 260 dirams in his pocket :Rofl1::Rofl1:

Mustapha Holeinthewall tomorrow :thumb:
