Making a list time.....

It may now be about the right time to start a list of who is planning to go to Morocco for 2014.
There are several of the 2013 group that plan to return and for some the 15th January (same as last year) is looking like a potential crossing date...

I am happy to compile a list and from there we can see who may be doing what.

So if you want adding to the list can people either PM me or email to stevetonks@uk2.net

and let me know a brief outline of your plans.

I am just in the middle of reading a book on a couples travels in Morroco in 2011, they travell with there dog along with another couple with a dog, it is a accurate read, as much of where they go I have been so can vouch that it is a fair account (and If anyone gets it I did swim with the fishes at the Oasis:Blush:

It is available on Kindle for about £3.70p. it is called A MONKEY ATE MY BREAKFAST by Jason Buckley

Anyone with a dog it could be worth a read, and if you have not been to Morocco before could be good information.

Dogs certainly do go, one of our group took theirs this year.. Read back on this thread as I am sure it's already been discussed...

Cant wait... - Mate....

We are planning to take our two Yorkshire Terriers. They both have up to date Pet passports and are in the process of obtaining their blood test results.

Had confirmation form DEFRA and Spanish authorities that as long as we meet the required levels all should be well.

Hi Tonka,

You know I am pencilling in my name, as sent off my registration application on Tuesday, so all being well with the DVLA :Rofl1::Rofl1::Rofl1:?!!!!

We will be coming, but will email you when I have registration. :thumb:

Also, can anyone confirm (perhaps from last year) approximate diesel costs for getting all the way to whatshisname, by Gibraltar, for the crossing, 2.9 diesel engine, from Dundee.............

The ferry prices (as haven't booked already, obviously) to Spain are really high at the moment, looking at £900 return, and wondered whether that is worth it or better to drive through France and back for that money.

Clearly no plans made as yet, but I'm very much "buy a map" then go. It's only a few weeks, what can possibly go wrong?!!!! :Rofl1:

Thanks.

.

My VERY rough maths (before i shoot off for the pub) says 1,900 miles one way.. Assume 25mpg and fuel at €1.35 litre.. VERY APPROX £400 ish..
Ferry dover calais, we often book a few days before online and pay about £40-50 one way..

Using the Santander ferry reduces the mileage by 800 so halves the fuel approx.

Take that £250 off £450 and Santander costs about £200 more but saves days and wear and tare.
