Your Beer of the week

only 2 left . Bought 2 years ago.
But they are the special whiskey aged ones so keeping for a special occasion.
Maybe our 60th

New Belgian style beer from Adnums, Its Called Deep Seas, it tastes great, Amber in colour and 6.7% ABV(y)
My neighbour's presented me with 8 cans for looking after their pets whilst they were away, and being a lover of some of The Adnums Brewery Beers in the past, I was pleasantly surprised by this new arrival.
I think its only available on-line or in one of their shops, as I have never seen it in any supermarket as yet.
Hope you all get a chance to try it soon, see below link.

Just had an offer come by email for Williams Brothers, a Falkirk brewer who sell through Aldi but only in Scotland as far as I have found

Enjoyed a few with Steve TheAleMan last year on ‘our’ Scottish beach site

It’s only 10% and delivery is £10 🤔 but free delivery helps and @£1.90 / 500ml bottle they haven’t joined the recent price increases my supermarket has done lately

I think the discount will be applied automatically but just check, I really like their pale ales and typically around 5% make a nice drink

48 bottles delivered for £92 will be part of my hydration for my radio therapy starting next week 🤔😁

View attachment 948737just trying these . Had one on draught yesterday and wasnt very impressed.
Tasted like hslf decent homebrew.

Sadly I agree with you , typically the same for most Scottish beer I have tried, which is why the Williams beers I djscovered last year were so well received

Hi David. Not a bad deal at all. Have had all of those and can vouch for all 4. The bottom one Fraoch is a heather beer from memory and it’s very nice and certainly different. 👍

Hasn't been any Proper Job in our local Lidl store in Whitby for the past 4 months or so :(
Nearest Tesco is in Scarboghorror.

It’s like our local Tesco store has stopped stocking Old Peculiar, another favourite tipple of ours. Can’t understand why tbh 🤷‍♂️

Been getting Proper Job IPA from our local Aldi, but didn't notice any this last visit, so got some of this from Brewdog, but got confused with the label (the power of marketing eh ?) so don't know how much it cost, but it's very nice !

Shame that they have stopped selling St Austell's Proper Job - my favourite IPA.
They have it in Aldi every Tuesday when I do the shopping. Their Harpers IPA (A Proper Hoppy IPA), is an extremely close contender to Proper Job. (y)

Cheers,

Jock. :drink:

I will have a ride up to our local Aldi tomorrow and see if I can score a dozen bottles of Proper Job, or failing that, I'll try the Harpers.
I am, however, taking a shining to Lidl's Hatherwood IPA now.

I'll pick up some of that tomorrow, when I call in to pick up my breakfast baguette. ;)

I really used to like their Amber Ale, but they stopped doing it for some reason. :( It was always popular.

Just back from town. 2 x Aldi stores have no Proper Job left, but the ticket is still on the shelf, so must be continuing with it.
Lidl's shelf on the other hand, was absolutely of the stuff. 😂
I did pick up a bottle of the Hatherwood IPA to try. 👍

Cheers,

I couldn't drink half a dozen pints of most IPAs, but often enjoy a couple, and I have to say this one from Lidl is nce and crisp, very pleasant, and very refreshing indeed. (y)

Though if I am to be honest and turn my glass round, I do love Caledonian's offerings of IPA ;) but I can't seem to get it anywhere down here. :(
